, Those mean old blue crabs don't pinch but so hard....
This summer will be my first time to eat crabs.

Reading last night in the Post they might be putting a limit on the catch this year for Recreational and Commercial Crabbers... last years catch was the second worse in history since 1946 (somewhere around there)...
At a minimum, I think the limit will be on large females... not sure about bushel limits on males.
...last year did suck - horrible year... I would imagine this year is not going to be any better.

I agree about culling the females. We had good results in B.B.....unlike most folks, Nice #1's everytime. Went out about 6 times and never came home with less than 3/4 bushel for about 3 hrs. work.....We must have been living right....

Two friends of mine did alot near Chalk Point... beggining of the year was good - tail end sucked...
I know it was hit or miss in Cobb Island...
Right now they are cat fishing and pulling some cows out of the water - I can give you the scoop on where if you want to try your luck at it. I'll e-mail 'ya later...
