Last time it snowed, Pookie come a shufflin' down the road, had no reason in the world to be there, stopped at the top of my driveway where I was finishing shoveling and says "You gotta cigarette", I say "Don't smoke", he says "I just cleaned a driveway", I say "Me too", He says "You don't have much to do", I say "You think this M****r F****r shoveled itself?", he mumbles something, I position my shovel like a baseball bat, start walking toward him and say "You NEED to take your N****r A*s down the road. Bye Bye Pookie!

19. It's a nice, new housing development with large homes...probably thought they could get in and get some nice stuff. I'm sure they're local.

I heard the house is located on Great Reward Way. What neighborhood is that? Is the house isolated, down a long driveway? Does the house have neighbor houses close by? Wonder how they chose this particular house to burglarize? Was the door unlocked? It's quite unnerving.

It's the new development off Wilson to the left, it runs all the way through to Clay Hammond..not too far back of Dares Beach.

You need to get a big dog.

Ohhh, I know which one you're talking about. Good grief, I didn't realize that development went all the way to Clay Hammond. A cop I once knew told me the number one deterrent to home invasion crime is a big dog.

About a year ago a crook was on the back deck of my girlfriend's house trying to break in thru the sliding glass doors. She has a large mixed breed black lab kinda dog. She said she didn't know anything was wrong until her dog started sounding like Cujo and was going nuts trying to get thru the glass door. The dog scarred the glass trying to get to the guy. She ran in the room just in time to see the guy running down the steps headed for the front of the house where a car was waiting. Big dog saves the day!!

I've got 120 lbs of big dog but she's in a crate when nobody is home. Not much of a deterrent, I suppose. :ohwell:

The bark may scare the thugs away....unless of course they can look through a door/window and see her in the crate. My dog has a very intimidating bark. The previous owners left a "beware of dog" sign so we just left it up when we moved in. Between that and the Brinks alarm signs, we hope that anyone wanting to do anything shady will move along to another house. May sound selfish but oh well.

She's a Malamute. She doesn't bark. She "woo"s. Not very intimidating. Plus she thinks everyone who comes to our house is just another lap to try to climb into.

It does not run through to Clay Hammond. Ends in a cul-de-sac. The property does back up to my developement, Deer Crossing. I'm waiting for you Pookie!

I have two wee doggies... Gracie is 190 lbs and Angus is over 225 lbs... They don't like people near the house either... and they roam free...

Of course anyone that gets by them is going to meet the double barrel 12ga...

Daughter just called. She doesn't live too far from where the incident happened. Her neighbor was in the garage having a cigarette..man on bicycle going through neighborhood slowly...sees neighbor (and friend) and approaches them. Asks if they have any odd jobs, then asks for money, all the while looking around garage. They ask him to leave and they go in and call police. She called my daughter and told her to close her garage.

:jameo:

I think this same guy just came to my house 10 minutes ago. There aren't a ton of people riding bicycles in this weather, asking for odd jobs and money. The only reason I even answered the door is because I'm waiting for Fedex today. Jackass woke the baby up so he was screaming in his crib. So I wasn't exactly pleasant when I barely opened the door.

My dog came with me to the door and viciously barked while I told the guy we had no jobs or money for him. He kind of laughed (wth?), then rode away on his bike while looking into our shed which was open because I was out in the yard today cleaning up. Hopefully the dog and the Brinks signs will keep him away.

You're right around the corner from me. I sent Pookie your way, told him you had some concrete work that needed to be done. :killingme

It's a good thing you showed how much of an ass you are, all over a false report.

Had nothing to do with the false report. BTW my elderly neighbor and my other neighbors who were at work at the time thanked me profusely for running this POS, who was obviously casing the houses, out of the neighborhood. I guess you would hide in the house while your neighbors got robbed? Chicken Sh!t !
