Footage has surfaced of Ryan Wesley Routh, the 58-year-old suspect in today's attempted attack on Trump, who was found near Trump’s Florida golf course with two backpacks and an AK-47. The footage shows an old 2022 interview with Newsweek Romania, where Routh spoke candidly about his pro-Ukraine views and his efforts to recruit foreign fighters for Ukraine

Seriously hope this becomes a commercial with the kids all going "Hey Mom, were you really happy an assassin tried to kill a presidential candidate" while she is wearing a fake tuxedo with medals on it. https://www.instagram.com/vindmanforcongress/reel/C6WhxTYLEfF/

As an FYI I tried find that commercial on Bing because I couldn't remember what they held up at the end, I knew it was some kind of costume, but it would not come up. I was searching "Vindam running for congress commercial with kids" and it did not come up until I went to Google. Interesting.

THIS is how the Left reacts -

Someone takes a shot at Trump - "well it's his fault he had it coming"
Someone who MIGHT take a shot at Harris - "well it's Trump's fault because of his mean Tweets".

SERIOUSLY - how on Earth is continually calling him an existential threat to democracy, orange Hitler, a dictator and everything else NOT going to persuade some lunatic from coming at him? How is it when a Democrat Trump hater shoots at him, it's HIS fault for not toning down the rhetoric? Have they ever even tried to tone down their rhetoric even 24 hours?

The Background on the Alleged Suspect in New Trump Assassination Attempt Is Something Else

Fox News has reported that the alleged suspect in the second Trump assassination attempt is Ryan Wesley Routh, as we reported earlier.

He allegedly aimed a rifle through the fence on the golf course where Trump was. He was about 300-500 yards away. Law enforcement claimed he had an AK-47 with a scope and a Go-Pro camera at the fence. He also had a bag with ceramic plates. The Secret Service fired at him and he fled in a black SUV. A citizen saw him and took a picture of his license which the citizen gave to police. The suspect was later caught on the highway by the Martin County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff William Snyder said the suspect was "calm" and not armed when he was stopped. He is now in custody. This

Now there's more information about this man and it's concerning.

According to the Sacramento Bee,

[He had a] criminal history in North Carolina that includes convictions between 2002 and 2010 of possession of weapons of mass destruction, carrying a concealed gun, hit and run, possession of stolen goods and resisting law enforcement, among other charges. He’s registered in North Carolina as an unaffiliated voter. In North Carolina, unaffiliated voters can choose which primary they want to vote in. Routh chose Democrats.

The News and Record had a 2002 report about a Ryan Routh who barricaded himself inside United Roofing and then faced charges including having a "weapon of mass destruction" because they said he had a "fully automatic machine gun."

The News & Observer said Routh was interviewed in 2022 by Newsweek Romania and in 2023 by The New York Times for helping to recruit civilian volunteers to help Ukraine fight the war against Russia.

“If governments won’t send their official military, then we civilians have to pick up the torch and make this happen,” Routh told Newsweek.

Origin (film)

Origin is a 2023 American biographical drama film written and directed by Ava DuVernay. It is based on the life of Isabel Wilkerson, played by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, as she writes the book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. Over the course of the film, Wilkerson travels throughout Germany, India, and the United States to research the caste systems in each country's history.

Plot

Grappling with tremendous personal tragedy, writer Isabel Wilkerson sets herself on a path of global investigation and discovery as she writes Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents.

Wilkerson is consulted for her opinion after the killing of Trayvon Martin. She explores the idea of how race may not be the only determining factor in bigotry, since, e.g., in India, everyone may be of the same "race", but bigotry still occurs by caste. Similarly, although Jews of European descent may have been considered "white" in some parts of the world, in Nazi Germany they were defined as an inferior race to be exterminated. Wilkerson visits Germany and debates friends about how slavery compared with the Holocaust, "subjugation" versus "extermination".

Wilkerson chats at a cocktail party with two white women who are friendly, but do not fully understand her ideas of how different types of bigotry interrelate. Later, she works with one of the women on her book.

Wilkerson looks in German archives and discovers that the Nazis used some of America's racist Jim Crow laws to develop some of their own racist laws; Hitler said he used the Americans' genocide of Native Americans as a guide for his own "Final Solution" extermination of Jewish people. The history of a couple in Nazi Germany is related, a male Gentile Nazi-party member who falls in love with a Jewish woman. They try to escape Germany, but she is caught and sent to a camp.

The Liberal Media Reaction to This Second Trump Assassination Attempt Is What You'd Expect

It’s an assassination attempt. The FBI is on the case. The suspect fled in a black Nissan, later apprehended by local law enforcement. Former president Donald Trump was golfing at Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach in Florida. Secret Service agents doing a security sweep a couple of holes ahead of the president saw a barrel of a gun poking through the golf course's shrubbery and engaged the suspect. An AK-style rifle with a scope was found, along with a GoPro, were found at the scene.

Sheriff on Assassination Attempt: Trump Would Have Had More Protection as Sitting President

Bradshaw revealed details of the assassination attempt — the second on Trump in the past three months — which was foiled by the Secret Service when they saw a rifle poking through the fence of the next hole Trump was to have played.

Bradshaw said that had Trump been the sitting president, local police would have had the property surrounded:

Well, you’ve got to understand. The golf course is surrounded by shrubbery. And when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they’re pretty much out of sight. And at this level that he [Trump] is at right now, he’s not the istintg president. If he was, we would have had this entire golf course surrounded. But because he’s not, security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible. So I would imagine the next time he comes to the golf course, there’ll probably be a little more people around the perimeter. But the Secret Service did exactly what they should have done. They provided exactly what the protection should have been. And their agent did a fantastic job.

The Secret Service agent fired shots. It is unclear if the gunman fired back. He ran away, according to Bradshaw, and his vehicle was photographed by a witness, which enabled police in the neighboring county to track him down.

The alleged gunman is in custody and former President Trump is unharmed.

Yeah someone on Twitter commented, Facebook wiped the account about 8 min after the shooter was id'd
I'm sort of surprised at the X deletion though. I would like to see somebody of sufficient social standing ask both zuck and musk about this.

You know, I just sort of assumed this was at his home in Mar-A-Lago. Nope, this is at his golf course in West Palm Beach, about a mile away.

HOW did this guy KNOW Trump would be there? I mean seriously, do any of YOU have any idea where he is, at the moment?

Trump attempted assassination suspect Ryan Wesley Routh is seen in video footage from Ukraine as his shock role in war against Russia is revealed

The man named as the suspect in a possible assassination attempt near Donald Trump's Florida golf club on Sunday posted video of himself in Ukraine in 2022 as he worked to recruit foreign fighters.

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, claimed to have helped rally soldiers for the International Legion, Ukraine's military unit for foreign volunteer fighters, but was keen to get involved in the fighting and accepted he might not return home.

'I am willing to fly to Krakow and go to the border of Ukraine to volunteer and fight and die,' he wrote on X weeks after the Russian invasion.

Realizing he was not eligible on the frontline due to his age, Routh instead tried to recruit Afghan soldiers fleeing the Taliban to fight in Ukraine, he said in a 2023 interview with The New York Times.

A former construction worker from Greensboro, North Carolina, Routh spent several months in Ukraine in 2022.
