I don't know why I decided to do this tonight, but I opened the closet door that has my children's heights marked off through the years. I had also marked my height on there for reference.

I then backed up against the frame, and 'measured' myself.

1/2" has disappeared since 10-10-01. Where did it go?

It's true. I never wanted to believe it, but it is. :jameo:

I did it the first time and did it the same way this time. I even measured twice today thinking I had made a mistake.

I'm sure it is due to global warming causing an increase in gravity. Have you noticed anything else going south? I know it is causing my head hair to get really thin and obviously that has an effect on my height. My eyesight isn't what it used to be either and that causes me to lean over to get closer to my monitor, so my back isn't quite as straight anymore. Karma may have something to do with it as well because red is heavier than green - I think. We've always been told smoking stunts your growth, but has any study been done where it could actually retract growth? Nope, I have no idea why you're getting shorter.

I'm still okay there. The seat is set back as far as it will go.

Luckily, I started out taller than average. I have a ways to go yet.

The moon effects the tides, maybe it does on height too. At 5'2" I can't afford to lose much.

Consider that an advantage. If you fall you don't have so far to go...

As you become a geezer, your spine curves slightly, resulting in a small loss of height. My dad has lost a fraction of an inch too. :lmao:

No, it's strictly gravity. My mom started out about 5' 3". I think she's around 5' now if that. :ohwell:

That is only because she likes to skate backwards to Dancing Queen wearing a really nifty bicycle helmet with mirrors on it.
