Years ago at that time of evening/night you could be out enjoying the cool air, letting your kids catch fireflies, talking to neighbors, etc. You know, the kind of normal stuff people used to do before. Now we are all on lockdown especially the kids. If they had something to do in their own neighborhood they should be able to do it. Its no different than many of us having to stay up till midnight catching up on housecleaning, laundry etc.
I bet if they were in a "better neighborhood" out somewhere in a better area, no one would even question what they were doing.

I question the story because it does not go with what the little girl said after it happened, she "ran a block" trying to get help after she was shot. She said this before she was taken away and passed away at children's. And the fact that the person I know who was on the scene right after said when they pulled up, there was no icecream truck or mother in sight. The fact that it was a bad area just adds to the mystery.
