I hate it when that happens.... so some of its magnetism might have spilled out.

He needs to be more careful. He sometimes lets the smoke leak out of the electrical stuff he builds...I hate it when that happens.
Ohhhhhh... you REALLY don't want to go there. He needs to be more careful. He sometimes lets the smoke leak out of the electrical stuff he builds...
Call it "preemptive"...Ohhhhhh... you REALLY don't want to go there.
One last guess from me does it by any chance have an oil alert ?Call it "preemptive"...
It's so old that the only oil alert is has is the visual one: connecting rod sticking out of side of the crankcase. One last guess from me does it by any chance have an oil alert ?
Like the Turkey timer. It's so old that the only oil alert is has is the visual one: connecting rod sticking out of side of the crankcase.
I'm done sorry. It's so old that the only oil alert is has is the visual one: connecting rod sticking out of side of the crankcase.
Ran out of ideas here too.....I'm done sorry.
Can I offer to look at it with a different set of eyes?Ran out of ideas here too.....
Of course! SGI will buy the beer. Can I offer to look at it with a different set of eyes?
You better bring a couple of sets, that Corona is known to impact vision. Can I offer to look at it with a different set of eyes?
So I guess that's a solid no.OOOHHHHhhhh....... THERE'S your problem.....
I will check that again.@stgislander Well looks like you've covered about everything. The only things I can think of are if the spring for the points is somehow making contact with the case or the insulation for mounting the points is no longer keeping them isolated or there is a wire somewhere shorting out.
Did all of that....except for spinning it with a drill. Spinning it over by hand should produce plenty of spark but produces absolutely none. New coil, properly air gapped, and new points.
Good connection there. I had to remove the boot to get the spark cable routed correctly. One more have you taken the boot off the coil wire to see if it is actually connected to the spark plug connector ?
SGI probably needs to add some electrons to the wires. He hoards those up in his electronics lab, I know he does..For your consideration ...
. Since you've shot the parts cannon at it, it'll have to be something extremely simple.
Be careful not to use the green ones.SGI probably needs to add some electrons to the wires. He hoards those up in his electronics lab, I know he does..
