Condoleeza! I like her alot, she is a smart lady, but yeah that is hillariouse how humans make the same faces as chimps. I saw a show once where they compared the expressions chimps made with human expressions and they all matched.

You may want to look again and then tell us who you see.

:nono: For shame! Ok, it was in bad taste when they did it to Bush and this is in bad taste, too!

However, it is out there. I heard someone (Michelle Malkin, I think?) say that a lot of the "rumor mongering" about Michelle Obama is coming from the Hillary camp. That doesn't surprise me any. These (type of) pictures that keep making the rounds probably are, too.

You know, at some point this election is going to be over, and all the Obama hysteria is going to pass. Do you really want to be known as one of the folks who thought something like this was funny? I mean, if it pisses you off when someone does this to Bush, Cheney, Rice, etc., why doesn't it piss you off when they do it to Obama? I guess at the end of the day it's the target of the bad behavior, and not the bad behavior, that you object to.

I'm glad when the election is over, and the hysteria passes, and all you folks who are lowering your standards because of your dislike of Obama come back to your senses and try to redeem yourselves, that I'll be there to say "hey... remember back in 2008 when you thought comparing Michelle Obama to a chimo was just a hoot?"

I don't think it's *funny* - but I'm sure not going to object to it. If after eight years of calling the President a chimpanzee, someone dares to call a Democrat one, I'll be sure to mark the outrageous hypocrisy of it all. That is, the hypocrisy of getting upset over it.

Remember back in the VP debates of Gore versus Quayle, and Gore made the comment about the press being hyper-critical of him - and Quayle said something like "hey, anyone seen MY PRESS FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS?". Similarly, when Clinton took office, they were aghast at the beating they got in the press and from the right - somehow suggesting that the previous twelve years of insults to Reagan and Bush never happened.

In grade school we called this "you can dish it out, but you can't take it". IN reality, it's just tunnel vision or amnesia. From their perspective, they're not insulting anyone.

When I see this, I don't raise my eyebrows. I shrug. All's fair and all that.

Well, I guess that's one way to look at it, but what you're saying is you don't find the action objectionable, just the target. Me, I think the action itself is objectionable regardless of who the target is. But come 2012, when Condi is running and some a-hole posts a picture of her compared to a chimp, I'm confident that all these folks who are saying "this is okay... they did it to us" about this will be saying "how dare they do this! This is pathetic and beneath contempt!", then; and all the Dems who are outraged now will be saying ""this is okay... they did it to us" then. And me... I'll be able to shake my head at both sides and say "you're equally pathetic and beneath contempt", and I feel good about that.

You really should read what people write before you mischaracterize what they said.

Because, what he said was:
I don't think it's *funny* - but I'm sure not going to object to it.
He had a very intelligent post, admitting that when anybody does it, it's wrong - but don't cry foul when you hit below the belt yourself. You twisted it completely out of what was written.

I find it somewhat objectionable that this is in the Politics forum. Smirking Chimp is hardly political discourse. If it were in "Share a Joke" it would be mildly offensive, just like most jokes in there.

What makes me laugh is you have the nerve to comment about me when you lack the courage to even answer my questions. But, I hate to burst your bubble but this particular story doesn't piss me off... it saddens me. I think it's sad that so many Republicans have been so willing to adopt the behaviors of Democrats and Liberals that they had so vigorously decried in the past. Even sadder is their defense of their actions with the childish excuse of "well they hit me first!"

So go ahead and laugh. I'll just be happy to know that when this is all over, and guys like you are pissing and moaning in 2012 about all the nasty things Dems are saying about your candidate... and how unfair the attacks are... and how there's nothing funny about this or that... I'll still be able to hold my head high and say I didn't lower myself back in 2008. You know... the guy who gets all drunk and pisses himself thinks he's real funny too... so do all his drunk friends who are pissing all over themselves, but to the sober folks you all look like a bunch of losers who have pissed all over themselves. I know you won't get that analogy, but I do and that's really all that's important to me.

I'm unsympathetic to your rhetoric and blindness toward NObama and it's much more entertaining watching you get busted up by everyone else. Like I said before, NObama could kick you square in the nuts and you'd try and explain why it's a good thing... :buttkick:

Admit it, you're pissed off... :poke:
