Whoo hooo, cant wait to get the hell outa this state and go back to the south where you can still smoke in McDonalds

No kidding! The only place we couldn't smoke was Taco Bell.

You either are or are not in favor of the smoking ban in Charles County. The Commissioners apparently approved this unanimously.

Vote for or against them accordingly.

Smokers vs. non-smokers is immaterial. The REAL contest is people who think the government can tell business owners what legal activity they can and cannot allow in their establishment vs. those who do not.

I'm a non-smoker and I'm on the fence with this issue. There are plenty of establishments I can go to that are smoke-free and sometimes I just have to suck it up. Drinking & smoking go together for a lot of people. If those same smokers now go elsewhere because of this ban, just think of the impact it will have on a bar such as Tailgates. What fun would it be to go to a bar, hoping to dance & have a good time, only to find a dozen people inside because everyone else is at the Hills Club smoking...:shrug:

I don't really care one way or the other, I'm surrounded by smoke all the time.

I just don't think a majority of non-smoking voters would vote against this. However, if you get together enough smoking voters you may have something goin' with the low turnout and what not.
