Smoking Ban in MD

Good Idea! I think I'll start a business to help all of those wonderful people who really want to quit smoking because they finally realize how nasty and harmful it is. Thanks for the idea.

If you really cared about her, you'd help for free. It just isn't right to make money off of addiction.

Well, you know she ain't gonna quit. She's very defensive. I wish I knew how to help people quit. I've been there and am so glad I don't smoke anymore but I hate to preach to people. If she wakes up and decides to quit one day, good for her. Otherwise, she's a big girl.

Most people don't want help. They want to be left alone to their vices and deal with the consequences when it hits them between the eyes. I'm that way about a lot of things.

That's actually the reason I can't stand most non-smokers and won't be around them. They're so self-righteous and sanctimonious, and will not hesitate to try and Mommy you with their control issues.

And I say "most" because I have several non-smoking friends who are content to live their own lives and not worry about parenting other adults.

I don't smoke, and I'm against the ban.

People smoking around me ain't ever bothered me, not once. So they puff smoke in your face - sometimes, so do cars.

Now, they need to take away the non-smokers' yappy dogs and cell-phones to even things out.

My neighbors' dog keeps me up at night. That causes a lack of rest, which could lead to other health problems.
