I'm not sure how my family got on the 5:30 AM "YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL IS CLOSED TODAY" automated phone call list. I WANT OFF! We don't need to know that early! Any suggestions?

:yay:

Atleast you didn't have to watch the news and wait. You got to roll back over and go back to sleep. Hell, every time I turned to a channel they were going to a commercial break. I would have loved a call so I could have gone back to sleep in a few minutes instead of watching the news for an hour.

Should of told KAZ to stay up and wait for the news, then tap(g) you when he knew.

Did you know that he is still upset with the Chasey news?

No, didn't know that he was upset. I'll make sure to console him when I see him again.

I have get three calls everytime one for each kid.

They call for both my kids with one call, the message says both of their names. I'm glad they call instead of me watching the television or logging onto the computer to check wtopnews.com I got the call at 5:45 am, which was perfect timing since that's about when my son gets up to get ready, so he didn't have to. I got the call, told my kid there's no school, and rolled over and went back to sleep. Very convenient.

I just go to the schools website. It states on the bottom of their home page if they are open or closed.

it used to be the parent's responsilbity to find out such things, not the school's responsibility to make us aware.

i too can go to the website when I wake up, not when the auto call system is programmed to call me.
