It's a woman's choice. If more african americans choose to have an abortion then who cares. There's a lot more at play here then just race. You have to look at how they grew up, and were they in a safe family structure, and so.... Ultimatly it's not up to Bush to decide if abortion is wrong. It's up to the individual. What Bush should be doing is pursuing the people who bomb abortion clinics to the utmost extent of the law. The people who bomb clinics are worst then the doctors and women who abort. At least they follow the law.

I agree that women should have a choice! And they do! It's called closing your legs, abstinence, protection, etc... Who do you think cloned the term "women's right to chose?" Could it be planned parenthood? How about the babies rights?

Abortion is just another way of allowing people to sidestep responsibility. Hey, if you think you are old enough to have sex then you better be old enough to raise the kid. Or at least humane enough to put the kid up for adoption.

Fine with me. They just did some survey that said more liberals get abortions than conservatives, and that's fine with me, too. Less liberal spawn means the species will die out quicker. :yay:

I think Bush needs to leave the law alone. At the end of the day it's the women who choose to have an abortion who have to deal with it. Sometimes an abortion is the right answer. Sometimes it isn't. I would prefer it if women who choose to have an abortion would rather donate it to science for stem cell research, or choose to give the child up for adoption instead. But I'm not going to tell a woman to make her choice according to my beliefs. At the end of the day it's a womans choice.

Partial Birth Abortion! Bush enacted it into law, and then it was overturned by the court system. Thank God. We don't need biblical law governing this nation.

The way I see it, because I'm a man, I don't have the right to even an opinion on whether a woman should have an abortion. I don't have a womb and I will never be faced with an unwanted pregnancy.

I feel the same way about terminally ill people who are kept on life support after all hope of recovery is gone. I've never had a family member in that situation, so I have no right to an opinion on what families should do in that situation.

Why do you care so much if a woman decides to have an abortion? Are you the controling type who tells women what to do? Women can make choices. Whether you like it or not.

The root of the problem is the question of when life begins. Unfortunately, nobody knows because people even have differing opinions on the definition of "life" itself.

right, but thats not the same as eliminating abortion. Partial birth refers only to late term abortions, which make up only a very small fraction of the total.

is a completely different sentiment. I have never heard Bush say he wanted to end abortion, and i don't think its part of his platform.

And the only man that should have a say in wether or not a woman has an abortion is the potential father. I think he should have equal rights and responsibilites at that point, he did half to work (or made half of the mistake) and will have half of the responsibility if the child is born.

typical... you can't justify murdering babies by attacking me with an accusation about controlling women. A baby has rights too. The last time I checked it took a man and a woman to make a baby. It's MURDER, not question about it. Murder is a crime in the USA and it comes with a hefty sentence. So I guess all the babies that are delivered 4, 5, or 6 months into the pregnancy(premature) are not real babies. If they are, and they are, then it's murder!

The Scott Peterson trial will change alot of this too. I think he is being tried for 2 murders. If found guilty, the partial birth abortion ban will definitely be made into law.
