I was giving MM a hard time b/c he hasn't been in the gym in a while.

What bthers me a little bit is....there is this guy that comes in and runs on the treadmill. He is huffing and puffing and making all kinds of noises. Even with my head phones on I can still hear him. Now if he wants to run that's great but if he can't handle it then he needs to slow the treadmill down.

Another thing I don't care for is the women who come in there and use the shower stalls or bathroom stalls to change so no one will see them. I'm in the locker room to change, I'm not checking anyone out. So I could care less how you look. Now get the hell out of the shower stall or bathroom so that I can us it to actually shower or pee.

How about the guy who sweats like a sprinkler on the crosstrainer? Or the female who has her eyes closed and is singing (badly) while doing bicep curls while standing on two air filled discs? Or the meathead who intentionally drops dumbbells after every set? Or the teenie-boppers who wear wife-beaters (sorry, should have said tank-tops to be PC) and perform barbell bench presses like they are practicing self-CPR? :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

I hope that girl isn't you. This girl sounds like a cross between Sanjaya and Barbara Walters.

Nope wasn't me. Sorry! :lmao:

I know I sound like crap when I sing. So I sure as hell am not going to sing in the gym in front of a bunch of people.

Don't be in a hurry. Take it from someone with 2 rotator cuff surgeries. One per shoulder. Can't bench #### anymore. Less weight, more reps and it still hurts like hell. :lmao:

Yeah, no point rushing into an injury. It's better to do it the correct way and work on the form and increase gradually, besides what's the point of bragging about such a heavy weight if you don't do it correctly anyway - EXACTLY. :yay:

This is recent. Back in the day everyone helped everyone in the gym. Things were much simpler. No balance discs, no space machines, no BodyPump. Just good ol' iron and sweat.
People now-a-days are asses if you offer assistance. People think they know it all. They don't have a clue. People mindlessly perform exercises they see in magazines which are recommended by people who have had surgery or are on the juice.
So there is this kid in the gym, doing bicep curl in the power rack (OMG, pet peeve) and I offer some advice on technique. You see, he is swinging the weight up using his lower back. Now, I wouldn't say it's wrong to cheat on maybe the last rep or 2, but this was every rep he was humping the bar. Looked silly.
I go over and introduce myself. Offer my help. He shrugs his shoulders and says he is doing it right. I say OK buddy.
Last night I see a female murdering herself on the lower back machine (crap machine anyway). I offer my help again and she thinks I'm hitting on her. I say OK and walk away.
Why is everyone scared of getting some assistance. We should all be willing to help each other out. I am always willing to help anyone out.
Just another rant.

 After I got up off the bench, the donkey comes over and says, "You know what will make you stronger?" I say, curiously, "what?" He says, "Flatten your back, that arch is hurting you. Bring your feet up on the bench and tuck your heels into your butt. This has helped me add 30 lbs on my bench. You won't even need that board thing. You'll be able to come all the way down to your chest." I said, "really?", just a little sarcastically. I knew this guy was just trying to be nice but....

So, basically what you are saying is that people should listen to your stupid advice because you are a weighlifting god, but you shouldn't have to listen to their advice. I think when you were in prison you got hit in the head with to many burritos. I hope all the counseling you have gotten lately has stopped you from your bestiality cravings.
