I'm not exactly hunched over the steering wheel - its about a foot from my chest... I just don't like laying back in the seat - I like to keep my back straight but the truck doesn't go up that far and if it does - it's too far up... my seat settings have to be perfect... and just when I find the perfect position someoneelse drives it and louses everything up. :mad:

Psssst.... aps, you are trying to talk sense into the same person who saw nothing wrong with smoking while driving with a leaking fuel line, who whacks the lids off of compressed fuel tanks, who rides around with people driving 75 mph in snow storms... I could go on, but I'm hoping you get my drift...:shrug:

Of course I down shift when I've had to slow for a turn, but never as a brake to slow down.

If you're talking about only occasionally using the car engine on wet or slick roads with rear wheel drive, then I agree it is ok. :peace:

This thread is pissing me off. First ya'll attack me because I slow down when the car in front of me's brake lights come on, then Dems sends me green karma bringing up the two bicyclists that HIT ME, insinuating that that was my fault, too.

I'm feeling very defensive right now.
