Well, it's sad whether it is the result of a business deal gone wrong or not.
Yes but everyone here is sincerely hoping that the perpetrator hit his target and for a reason, because if someone is playing the "random head shot" game we're all at risk.

It can also simply be a really effective way to ensure that someone dies from the shooting.

It is absurd - and entirely premature - call this a "mob" death. :ohwell:
Yeah that.. Shooter is standing, shootee is sitting in his car.. Head shot is just convenient..

www.thebaynet.com wrote that he was shot in the head which is known to be called "execution style" in the mob world.

There's more to it than that. A head shot is simply a head shot. As Bob said, it was the easiest target in that scenario- not neccessarily anything more.

"Execution style" is more defined than that ie. where the wound is on the head, the angle, etc. And the "mob" was "known" for using a different style. Without going into specifics... A small caliber round (small enough that it won't pierce bone) to a specific opening in the skull.

I'm guessing there's more to it. He was killed on his way to work in the morning in front of an apartment complex. According to the article, no one saw the guy or heard the shot. He/she left the car and didn't bother hiding the body. In front of an apartment building, with people getting ready for work, I would think someone would've seen/heard something.

I used to live on Liberty street and I know how close those apartments are to the parking lot. I also know that a lot of not-nice people live back there. A few years ago, a guy tried to rob another at gunpoint. I heard the whole thing from my bedroom.

Yesterday morning the police were out there where this happened and they were stopping everyone driving threw there asking questions and handing out fliers.
Seems this was a homicide i have checked the baynet and the st mary's today and they have no new reports on this, Sure is nice to know that when the public should know the news they dont report it, so people there is a killer on the loose.
****ooppss my bad the Enterprise does have a story about it ****

Sounds like a senseless hate crime to me.

Did you ever maybe think it just could of been a car jacking gone bad?

If it was, another good example of where CCW may have saved a life.

Lexington Park has to many ghetto's that are cheap and have assisted living. Those areas attract attract the thugs and criminals. They can't afford to go anywhere else.

You hit the hammer on the nail and not only does it attract our county's local thugs and criminals but those from other cities like Waldorf and DC who are being pushed out because they can't afford to live there anymore. Lexington Park should consider building up just the same so that either the criminals will have to straighten up or fly right.

Glad you mentioned this. He wasn't a thug or a criminal. He was a victim.
Somebody had to have seen something. This happened at a time of the morning when many were leaving for work, so hopefully, they will have a crack in all of it soon!

Very sad! I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. :huggy:
