I had several friends and family members who commited suicide. I have thought about it.

I PMed you that I thought these drama queens and merely dysfunctional people make a mockery of folks who have a true biological disorder, so I thought I'd say it in the open as well.

I’ve gotten news that someone I know has taken his life and I’m curious as to what you all think of this.

Not sure, my mother took her life. Have often wondered why.

You don't have to do that! I was just wondering how or why you found it. Were you just checking out old threads or did you do a search on "suicide" or what? It's not a big deal. Just being CG (Curious George).

Actually I found it under a users profile, guess it been awhile since they've posted. I hadn't paid attention to when it had been posted. I read where they said they had thought about doing such a thing and wanted to tell them not to do so, that no matter how tough life gets, it's worth living.

If Admin. would like to bury this topic, I understand and agree that it should be.

Take note of the date and time above the persons name in any thread. It'll save you a red face quite often.

I see suicide as a selfish act. I do not know that persons story or what would drive them to do it.
