satelite radio is the way to go ! It is hands down the best ! Its good for us especially living in southern maryland, the radio stations are pretty terrible here.

It is around here, anyway. I just took a road trip to my parents' house in northern MD last week, and it was really refreshing to be able to tune in to stations from Baltimore, Wilmington, and Philly. There was always something good to listen to.

I agree - we enjoy satelite. But I still like to listen in the mornings for local news and such.

Ditto to the local news -- such that it is. Usually can find out about it here way before something is on the news. Hey, maybe they can figure out a way to do a live stream of the forumites here??? Would definitely be interesting listening!

My wife and I got an offer we could not refuse. We bought a house here based on blue sky promises. Promises were all in bad faith and we were fooled by trusting someone we should not have trusted for a nanosecond. Now We are fighting to get back wages due.

Kill off the "B" side radio!

For months now, every time I swing past 98.3 I would pause to listen.

Always playing some odd rare recording that some artist decided to throw on the back of their "hit."

Who wants to hear the back side of a Bay City Rollers hit from 1979?
Then comes the galling promotion of "playing all the hits..."

No, you were playing all the rejects....WHY? (its weird!)

I met Frank Lawson last month but I just didn't bring up the issue because I don't think he does any of the music programming.

I dont own a radio station so maybe I'm missing something here but having to re-hire the DJ's as if the two are the only ones now capable of keeping the station competitive during the morning commute hours seems to speak volums as to the lack of aggressive marketing the station managment exhibits. If I were these two I would definitly "Own" this station and on contract have all but 1 weekend off per month to whorer out at Ralph's Dodge.

It was a total accident that I even heard their program yesterday. After they disappeared the first time I was willing to try and listen to the new morning shows, but after the ten thousandth DJ, I completely stopped listening to 98.3.
I just happened to accidentally hit the wrong preset on my radio and heard T-bone talking. I thought maybe the station was being nostalgic and playing old taped T-bone & Heather shows out of desperation, but after a few minutes of listening I determined they must be real.

Unlike a lot of other posters to this thread, I don't care what kind of music they play on 98.3. They could play opera if they wanted....I'm only listening because of T-Bone & Heather. After 10 am, I hit another preset.

Sorry you felt that way. From your other posts, you seem bitter. I could be wrong but that is just the way it is coming off to me. Again, I could be wrong but most everyone I know loved them and when they left many people missed them.
