Teariffic Cafe

Has anyone been to the Teariffic Cafe in San Souci Plaza? I am just wondering because my wife and I got there about once a week and it is always empty and it is a real shame. If you like Chinese food, tea or coffee its awesome. It is next to Famous footware, kinda off to the side. The lady who works there is the nicest lady in the world, and i would hate to see such a good place close down because of a bad location. they also have free wi-fi, so you can bring your computer and hang out for awhile.

It's okay. Got some appetizer type things and it's not something I'd go out of my way for, especially with Thai Inter and Asahi right there. But I'm also not a person who wants to drink tea in a yuppie shop, so I'm not their target audience. There was a couple there when I was getting my food and they were really into the teas.

Their location is terrible and that's probably their biggest problem.

I suppose it's worth a try, but I agree with Vrai

(hahahaha- that rhymes)
:lmao:

Seriously though, I don't go & sit at Panera Bread sipping on a latte checking my email via WIFI either, although I do go there for 'take out'.
Does Teariffic Cafe offer take out?
Do they have an on-line menu?
Is it lunch crowd friendly?

i totally understand about the wi-fi thing, i am not the type either, i just wanted to let people know that they do have it. and as far as the take out, yes they do, it takes a little while because they make everything from scratch, so it pays to all ahead and know what you want. they don't however have an online menu yet, i am not sure if they will either. if you search Teariffic online it will come up with a restaurant in NYC, but i asked the lady about a week ago if they were part of that store and she said no, they just used the name. so it is a local place and not a chain. and as far as the lunch goes. i am not sure, i work all the way down on webster field so i have don't enough time to try it, but judging from the service any other time i have been there, i would say it is great. if you go there and eat, the lady is the best waitress i have seen around here. she comes out and makes sure everything is perfect. this is my fav place and i just want more people to go there so it doesn't go out of business.

I had lunch there today. :yay: :yay:

Fried flounder. Tasted a little like coconut shrimp. Very good. Order at counter, they bring it to you when it's done. My plates were cleared when I finished. Friendly staff.

I'll go back.

yeah they haven't really had enough time to do really anything in there, they have moved the counter a few times though, i recommend the apple green tea, i am slowly going down the drink menu until i try everything at least once, i have had half of the green teas, and they are all delicious.

I have gone a few times and loved it. Wish it were closer to the office and the teas...mmmmm. I have favorite apple green tea hot, and the peach is wonderful also. I plan to find the time to go through each flavor. And the service and food is fantastic. I encourage others also.

Boy and I were riding bikes around the shopping center yesterday, I had no idea that place was there

It's behind famous footwear, on the side parking lot. I just tried the marinated beef last night :yum: The wonton is out of this world! Best in the county hands down (Happy Dragon is a close second)

I went there for lunch yesterday, sesame chicken. I like their lunch specials, but never seem to be there on the day they have Miso soup. I want to try theirs.

I love their food. The few times I'm able to have lunch off base I try to get in there. I also will stop in if I am in the area afterwork for just a tea. I haven't had a bad tea or meal yet. I also have picked up "to go" items before as well. Actually if anybody likes dim sum, they'll love this place.

I saw your man there yesterday, too.

We discovered it after we rode around the back of the buildings. Noticed they sell smoothies, but were closed Sunday afternoon.
