Just sneakin' around....
WalMart has a plan to roll out lots of chargers in non-corridor locations. The pilot at the Springdale, AR location is the one I shop at when I visit my brother. Next time I'm there I'll check it out.

Chargers at Flying J locations are also being rolled out.

Two to three million per site? Ouch.

And if they make you go through the WalMart app like they do for mobile payments, that will hurt them. Does anyone use WalMart Pay?

And those numbers are for Texas so its even on back end grid charges.

So, new headline....... The Horrors!!!!!! 500,000 tress cut down for Berlin Tesla factory!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!

Hold on skippy, not so fast. Yep, that is true. But those trees were all spruce, whats called a monoculture. An ecologically sparse forest that harbors for less wildlife and ecological diversity than a natural forest. These monocultures were a quick way to keep previously denuded land stabilized and provide fodder for cardboard manufacturing.

This article is from 2020 and discusses the reforestation efforts Tesla was taking even back then. Which effort is ongoing, this year alone they have planted more than a million trees.

Darn Cybertrucks, nobody will by those things. :}...... And they haven't even started the lower priced ones yet.........

So far testing of the nondry cathode "Gen 2" 4680 cell shows promising results.

So, Supercharging a big sucess story.

I went out to Target here in bustling Silverdale, Wa. A town on 20K or so people near Bremerton. Saw these in the back of the lot. Look ready to go, I assume final permission to turn them on is the holdup. Brand new, 12 units with longer cable and currently capped at 250kW per charger. Also have the ability to accept card payments and have a screen so you don't need an app. Note the second picture. Each one sits on a precast box that's dropped in the trench over the mains power below, wires fed up through to the charger. A site like this, the longest pole in the tent is setting up the mains power to those big white boxes. The its trench, set up units, run cable and walk away. Can be done in less than a week, and the whole thing most likely cost less than 1/4 of what another charging company might spend.

Fed spent billions of giveaway dollars to states and got 7 freaking chargers. Tesla does this to the tune of thousands a year..... Found a local thread. Permits applied for in late April. Since then the longest parts were waiting for inspection between steps. All done in less than three months even so. Except of course the power company has to do their part.

Turns out it went live about a week and a half after I left.

OMG, the strike in Sweden will cripple Tesla!!!!! Up 51% over last year. 18% of the total Swedish market. Which is a small market, but I remember the folks saying this was some sort of bellwether, some harbinger of doom :)
