That's pretty much the way it's supposed to work. That's why they're called "representatives".

So there you go. The best you can do is see how your guy voted on a particular issue, then do your part to vote him out of office if you don't like the way he represents you. Both of my guys up here voted against the smoking ban.

Then don't complaine about a new law that creeps up on you. A "nice, full life" doesn't excuse you from your responsibilty as a citizen. That is to be informed. You're not the only one that has a "nice, full life".
