If Danica takes the green flag on the pole, she won't win. She doesn't have enough seat time. Never mind the fact that few 500's @ Daytona have been won from the pole.

I was so close to picking her when I first put my picks in, once she took the pole, I had to edit my pick and go with her. She may not win ,Im just looking for to be in the top 5.

I am not a Nascar follower, although I spent 8 years in FL about 2 hrs north of Daytona, and did catch more than a few races and Daytona 500's since Thing1 became a big fan.

Why all the hate for someone who obviously did qualify? So what if she doesn't win the race - she did qualify to race, right?

Also, didn't she used to race Formula 1 cars?

No hate, just very unlikely that she will finish. Big difference between qualifying with no one else on the track, no distractions, and racing all out in a pack of wolves who will bump you off the track at the first opportunity. I suspect she won't make it past halfway, even if everyone is nice to her.
