It would be nice to balance out these idiots, that do nothing but provide propaganda pieces for our enemies. :burning:
 There is a segment of the world, and some right here at home, that think the US Government under the Bush Administration is nothing but a war-mongering, oil-hungry, rabid
and greedy populous.
Well, maybe the world should look at the fact that we are NOT staging pro-warlike rallies across the country, inflaming everyone and whipping up sentiment that we need to go into Iraq NOW! and take them over, or take them out, however you want to put it. While we may recognise that eventually we are going to have to invade Iraq with our coalition allies, because Saddam is not going to disarm, we do take this very seriously, and we've made a commitment to the use of the UN Inspectors.
In other words, we have the resolve, but we are willing to use whatever means we can to achieve the ends. War is one way to achieve it, but if Saddam abdicates, that will work too.

Dang. I have to get better at this. You originally scolded me for using "stereotypes", I mistakenly transposed that into "name calling", so now you say that stereotypes are OK as long as it's not name calling?
Is there some place where I can look up the rules for useless debate, or are you making it up as you go along?

B: Making it up as I go along. :lmao:

#2 and #3 aren't stereotypes - they are fact. Serious - I saw them on TV. They were chanting, they were holding hands or linking arms, they were burning candles. Many of them are involved with Greenpeace (said so in a TV interview thing) and many were holding signs that would indicate they are active in environmental issues.

Whether they were weeny yellow-backs, illogical, whiney or namby-pamby is a matter of opinon. But the other statements are true, as observed by TV coverage of the protest.

Well I can say for a FACT that I have seen pointy headed no-necked racist conservative geeks (both with and without shotguns as it happens) on TV, so take your holier than thou criticism of stereotypes and stuff it wherever saddam is hiding his nukes.

 Ken, you bring an interesting if not sobering idea to the table: When will people wake up to the fact that what we call a "right" or civil liberty here in this country is NOT available to the people who inhabit Iraq? "What are you talking about, some will ask?"
How about the ability, or privilege to speak up for your belief? Is it available to those in Iraq, Iran, North Korea, nations of their kind? Dammit! We are so inured, we take for granted, we demand, etc, etc, to be heard! Do those people have that right? Go on over to Iraq and attempt to stage an Anti-War/Saddam Disarm Us Now peace rally. See how long you'll remain alive, or maybe - still have a tongue attached to your mouth. What utter fools these people are!
I guess we have forgotten so much of history, that we've
lost sight of how we arrived at where we are. What you and I consider a God-given right and something we are free to express every single day of our lives, those people in Iraq, North Korea, Iran, etc., well, it's something they've never known.

:razz2: Maynard, please! I don't like saying this to you, but you are talking out of the wrong orifice again. See how far you would get with this debate if you we not, in fact, living in this country?
Instead of uttering nonsense, transpose yourself out of the good old USA, and beam yourself down into Iraq. Now try your rhetoric; how does that bullet feel entering your chest?

Names?

Names? There is a dispute over name calling?

How about the Witty and verbose protesters...
"Bush is a fascist?"
(Can they define fascism?) Have they lived in a Fascist country? Has he replaced our consitution with Mein Kampf?

"No Blood for Oil"
Fact: every war we have been in since the Mex-Am war has resulted in us rebuilding the loser, offering loans, and even paying for private losses. (Except the CW)...One (intelligent one that is) would easily see that war with Iraq would be a huge boost to their infrastructure, health care, economy etc.
Our tax $$ would liberate millions from years of fear, intimidation, and poverty.

"Imperialist America"
Oh? the last time we gained teritory was the Virgin Islands or based offered to us in WWII where we boost the economy with hand-outs & jobs.
Where are our brutalized ravaged colonies? Hmmm?

This is only a tiny sample of the buzwords the Left spits out with glee,
How shallow, ignorant, pathetic and twisted. If they could only live for a week in North Korea, Somolia, Haiti, or Tyrannical regimes like Iraq...they would learn their silly slogans and passionate chants are the diatribes of true idiots. I am truly thankful that Bush is the President...not some Arkansas sexaholic megalmaniac with his finger in the air gauging which way the public wind might blow.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??!! I love this country. I love the fact that I get to be "contra" for a while. I CHOOSE to come here and spar with you guys BECAUSE we get to argue. If I wanted the party line, I'd be over at freerepublic.com. (If I wanted the other party line, I'd be at DU.)

The point of my focusing on the name calling/stereotyping is EXACTLY because I value the ability to argue. You guys have the right to call names and be dipsh*ts if you want, but you will stifle debate and not learn a dang thing if you let it get carried away.

Maynard, debate is one thing, the supposed intelligence these folks thought they were bringing to the debate was another. I watched the rallies for a while, out of curiousity, and I got sick to my stomach. People like Cynthia McKinney, the ousted representative from Georgia(?), if I'm right, just got up on the podium and spouted so much BS, I had to turn the channel! One other I saw was Rep. John Conyers from Mich., I believe, was another 'tard. These folks need to get a life, learn to stand behind their country, not try to bring it down. If they cannot see with their own eyes what danger Iraq presents to the USA, and her allies, then they don't belong in the public eye. They should just simply stumble around in their rooms and mutter to themselves, the injustice, the outrage, and grab a bottle of gin and drown in their utter stupidity and tunnel vision.

As a former GA resident...

You're right about Cynthia McKinney...

And the reason she was "ousted" was because of her views...

Funny how America works. We rebuild and finance countries whose sole purpose is to destroy us, yet me fight down any measures to help the poor here in America. I bet people in the Ghettos are lobbying for Bush to drop a few bombs their way so they no longer need to live in fear, intimidation, and poverty.

Let the poor be poor. There will always be poor. Let them care for the poor.

I'm paraphrasing, of course, but Jesus even said something to that effect.

We could pour an endless of supply to the poor, and there would still be poor. That's not the greatest argument you could present.

That's what I'm talking about! Not that I give a hoot about the poor - most of them are that way by their own laziness - but I'd rather see our tax dollars stay in this country instead of dropping food packets on Afghanistan. Especially since 9 times out of 10, the aid we send doesn't go for it's intended purpose but toward weapons and such.

I still liked the idea of dropping bombs and food packages that were the same color.. Forget Russian Roulette, this is American Roulette! You will either eat for the first time in a month, or you will blow up. Either way, you won't be hungry anymore

Maynard, as it is obvious you are of dubious parental lineage, and probably of the canine persuasion, why not just sit back and salivate upon your scrotum, as I am sure you frequently do. It sure must be sad that a dweeb such as you has to infect our forum because you have no friends in your DU neighborhood.
