I'm not saying I support or appreciate their reaction (I'm more appaled by it really), but the fact of the matter is that they (in general) probably had nothing to do with it.

When you don't condemn an action, you are effectively condoning it. No less than CAIR, which stands for Council on American-Islamic Relations and is a very powerful and influential group with Muslims, has repeatedly excused the 9-11 terrorists and indicated that the US brought the attacks on ourselves. They have also repeatedly excused the suicide bombers with the same line of rhetoric.

So you tell me.

And you can also let me know when you see a major Christian group condoning and excusing the Phelps people. In fact, Westboro Baptist Church has been officially denounced by the Baptist Convention. I have never ever heard a Christian express anything for the Phelps clan but disgust.

i am not anit christian or islamic or any other religion.

but i am open to discuss the many claims made by religion and religious people. If they claim their religion is the true one (it happens here occasionally) i dont see why i can't ask how they know, and what they are using as proof.
