oh sure, I'd like to know the truth .... however I doubt he'll personally tell me. Since there is no concrete evidence, I'll just keep on going like I am and be fine.

Or not.

People reject God and the Bible because they want to sin. They want to fornicate, steal, cheat, lie, do whatever they want without consequence. If you are truthful with yourself, you know that is true. You certainly have the free will to sin, but God wants you to choose to follow His way and His way is pointed out in the Bible.

The Bible is the only complete history book from the beginning of the universe to the end of this system and the start of the next. It is also the "life owner's manual;" it tells a person with life what is expected and how to maintain life.

What happens when you ignore the maintenance of a car? Becomes junk quickly. Same thing happens when you ignore the maintenance of your life.

"The New Testament Jesus rebuked the Orthodox religious leaders who gave more importance on having people follow rituals, traditions and self-imposed rules and regulations rather than have a heart for loving and worshipping God."

Some. Not all.

Hebrews 10:19-31

19Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

20by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,

21and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,

25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.

28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

30For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY " And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."

31It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Going to church is for worship of God and also for encouraging each other in our faith.

I think many people including those like you will be tragically surprised, and it will be too late. When? I don't know. I do know the signs, and they are starting to happen more frequently.

its always been the same, people wan tyou to believe that so you will be scared enoguh to follow them.

I personally will live my life the way i believe is just and when god decides the end is here i am sure the two of us will work everything out just fine.

That would be fine if God hadn't said otherwise. And it's not a scare tactic, it's a heartfelt warning. If you didn' have home owners insurance and your house burned down, you'd spend the rest of your life regretting it. You can't buy fire insurance AFTER your house burns down. It's the same with salvation. Think about the similarity. You can't buy "fire" insurance (protection from hell) after you die. God said it, not us. It's always better to be safe and have it now. Then, if we're wrong about God, you've lost nothing. But if we're right....:hot:

If god stepped down and told me to pray and live my life the way he wants me to then I'd do it.

I don't need some guy telling me what I need to do in my life (and by the way I'll need 10% of your money too please).

haha yeah .... that guy can piss up a pole for all I care.

Thus in obedience to the Holy Qur’an, we as Muslims invite Christians to come together with us on the basis of what is common to us, which is also what is most essential to our faith and practice: the Two Commandments of love.

I anxiously wait to hear the response from the Pope Benedict. I expect you'll be keeping an eye out for it?
