I love my 42" LG DLP TV :yay: Here's the thread I posted some time ago trying to find out the differences.
I almost bought the 51 " slim projection tv. It was not like the standard thick tvs. I was so close then I asked the guys at best buy to put the LCD beside it and there was no question. I went for picture quality over size. I mean the 51" was like $900 and the 32" I got was $1500... Merry Xmas to me

Mine is very lightweight and slim as well. I carried it into the house myself. :yay:

My bad, it's 44 inches. This is it. :yay:

Funny thing about buying the xbox 360 right now is that there are only about 10 games out and 9 of them suck. I will wait until something comes out that I like and then I will buy one.

As for tv's. I have the 40" sony bravia lcd widescreen tv. Its only 720p, but it still looks great when playing dvd's and high res games. Unfortunately, the picture looks like crap with metrocast cable. I went from a 25" crt to the 40" and boy do all the signal imperfections jump out at you.

Digital cable or no!??

We just got cable in our neighborhood, and thinking of switching to Cable TV and internet from DirecTv and DirecWay... but the picture DirecTV has is OUTSTANDING.. but a lot of money to be saved switching to cable for both!

When we moved we went with digital cable and cable internet. So far so good, even with the nasty weather.

I have the basic digital package ($8 something a month extra). It has a bunch of discovery channels, digital scifi, pay per view, and digital music stations. Digital does not equal high definition though. A couple of the channels are high definition, but they are not channels I watch. And most of the channels are still analog (everything below 80).

I believe metrocast offers an HD package. But once again, its only a few channels and none I am interested in.
