A simple explanation:
"Where to begin? First, I think obama won with a coalition of 3 distinct groups: The stupid, the crazy, and the anti-American. Allow me to explain. First, the stupid. These are people who had no idea what the issues were/are, but just voted for obama anyway. They like him more, they wanted to vote for a black man, etc… These are the same people that gripe about the high price of gas, the lack of jobs, tax increases, etc.. These are the same fools that honestly believe obama has given them free health care. They spend all their time watching Jersey Shore or some other mind rotting crap, which is why they are ignorant of the issues in the first place. I would also place Hispanic obama supporters in this camp: In 2008, he promised to make immigration reform a ‘top priority’, and then, even though he controlled congress, he did nothing. He used them for their votes, and did it a second time, and they allowed him to do it, which makes them stupid. Then, the second group, the crazies. I call them this because a person who does the same thing and expects a different result is crazy. Two thirds of the American people, which would include many that voted for obama, believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, yet a majority of voters voted for the man who is taking it there. A majority believed that the economy was the most important issue, yet again, a majority of voters doubled down on a man that took a bad economy and made it worse. He is who he is, and his ideas/political philosophies are not going to change, so to expect a different outcome is insanity. Then the last group. These are the ones that hate traditional America. They want socialism. They want a central government that ‘levels the playing field’ by controlling every aspect of our lives. Some of them would like to see our country under a totally different system, such as Shariah Law. At any rate, they think obama is their best opportunity for radical change. Second, I think the Republican party is finished at the national level, and here is why. They cannot move to the right, because there are only so many conservatives. If they move to the center, become more moderate, then there will be little choice between them and the democrats, and the democrats will still win because they offer more welfare/social services for minorities, women, and good-for-nothing whites. I believe the Republicans will fade, and we will end up with essentially one-party rule, and of course, socialism. If you want a good idea of where we are now headed, take a look at Greece – that is us in another decade, but this is apparently what the people want. Elections have consequences, and this one certainly will. I don’t have to worry too much about most of this – the bulk of my days are well behind me now. I do fear for the future for the sake of our children – they will not enjoy the sort of America, a strong America, an America that was the land of opportunity and prosperity, that my generation did. You have made your choice, now live with it."
