I am *gasp* considering getting a new cellphone. Yes, I know - I said my current phone did everything I needed it to. But I've changed my mind. :gossip: can take better pics with his cellphone, and they're a standard file format, not some crazy proprietary one that nobody can open if I send it to their email.

Plus I think I should have more storage for my pics and ringtones.

Any suggestions? What do you have and do you like it? I have Verizon service, if that makes a difference. Plus I want to be able to transfer my numbers, etc, to the new phone and not have to re-enter everything.

TIA!

If you have verizon you can get the backup service and you just upload all of your crap to it and then download it to the new phone. Very easy.

I like my phone...Dare.

How much are you willing to spend would be the first question. Second question is, are you willing to sign another 2 year contract? :coffee:

If you stay with Verizon and there's no good reason not to, they transfer everything by the time you've paid and are leaving the store. You can keep the same number these days regardless of who you go to if you switch.

Vrai, go NOW to your online Verizon account and set up auto-backup. That way you always have access to your numbers should your phone die or you chose to get a new one... it's a free service.

LG Dare rocks! I also have the auto backup feature and it rocks too. However I think when you get a new phone they transfer everything for you.

Vrai -- if you care about pictures, don't get the Voyager. great phone otherwise, but there's no effing zoom so that makes it a little more difficult :frown:

I looked up consumer reports when i was lookin for my phone and it said what phones had what megapixel for cam, but i don't remember. i think the samsung flipshot was among the better phone for pix.

I think it's Verizon's answer to the iPhone.
that's the blackberry storm actually. but dare is similar.

You can get the Backup Assistant online...it's easy. I uploaded everything from my old phone..cut that off..then cut on the Dare and downloaded all my contacts, etc.

Yeah...mom got the flipshot but didn't like it as a phone, just for pictures, so she sent it back
I guess it depends on your priority?
