To all the nice people who attempted to drive all the way up 235 and merge in on route 4 heading towards solomons at the last min yesterday why I sat in the correct merge lane going nowhere.... You got real effin far didn't you?

......
Yeah, the police gave everyone the runaround last night. Headed south on 235 to try to get across Solomons bridge and they turned my North. Headed back north on 235 to get across the Benedict bridge and they turned me south again for the accident up there. So which effing way do you go? :banghead: Finally got home at around 6:30 pm

They are d***s. Everyone needs to make the utmost attempt to keep them from cutting in line. I love when that happens. You are not being courteous when you let them in, you are being discourteous to those behind you.

They need to get some serious funding and get another bridge. If the county and base knew that this place had potential of growth why not fund to have another BIG bridge with 8 lanes, 4 for North bound and 4 south bound.
They didn't really fund the one we have. I think BG&E paid most of it in order to build the reactor in Calvert.
That's the ONLY reason the bridge is there.

They're waiting until the bridge from Solomons to the Eastern Shore is finished. :elaine:

That is baloney!! The state agreed to build the Thomas Johnson Bridge as part of a deal to do away with slot machines in Southern Maryland. That was agreed on in 1965 and it took 12 years to get the project through permits, engineering and construction. It was all taxpayer mnoney that built that bridge!!

You shouldn't be apologizing then unless you just stopped for no reason. Hope you get better soon.

If the Nuclear Regulatory Commision (NRC) had not required an evacuation route for those Calvert County residents living south of the Calvert Cliff's,
No one would have ever anted up for the expense of The TJ bridge.

any updates from the accident with the PT cruiser?

The driver broadsided died instantly. The mom of one of my former co-workers. Very sad. Devastating to that family. Please add them to your prayers.

When I had that commute, I would sometimes go straight at the light at Rtes 4/235, then do the u-turn to go south on 235 (where you can make the turn to go to the shopping center), then turn left onto Rte. 4. This is only worth it if traffic is backed way the heck back b/c of the time you lose at the light. Sometimes I think it was a psychological thing. I feel better when I'm moving and not sitting in line.

:nono: I feel the same way, but you should still wait your turn. If everyone tried that it would screw things up royally.
