Back when Maryland voters approved same sex marriage, I remember telling my son that in my lifetime marriage to animals would come to light. We are on the way....

The time has come to the current where whoever with whatever whenever is going to happen. The courts created this mess, and they will not be able to, or even want to, clean it up.

Pray for the end, and soon.

And as the OP of this thread, I didn't want to leave you out of this. You views might also encompass the other poster's 'end of the world' mentality. But even if they don't, you obviously have your own issues when you make the quick extrapolation from this example of a 3-way lesbian relationship to "marriage to animals". Try basing your reasoning on something outside your mental world of religious zealotry once in a while. You may find it refreshing, if not enlightening.

Surely you jest ...
I don't care for the idea, but I don't have to live with them, pay their rent or anything else. So really, why should it concern me? Many other serious issues in the world to concern myself with. I can't waste my energy on peoples lifestyles. *shrugs*

Hopefully you were not serious with that last comment. If so, I could only hope that you will, at some point, come to your senses and realize that you are one sick puppy.

Why not? I'm ready. How about you? The prophecies point to the earthly situation we live in now.

The sickness lies with those that are not prepared in their hearts. It's been 2,000 years since the Lord's ascension, and His promise that He would return soon. Don't know when, but it could be tonight. Or not.:coffee:

There are some dangerous ideas spawned by religion that must be opposed by any rational society, and cheering for the end of the world is one of these. You should realize that you are in the company of dead Christian lunatics, Muslim extremists, and suicide bombers in wanting this.

If you have children and have told them that it is a good idea to hope for the end of all mankind, you need to realize that this is tantamount to child abuse. Coupled with other extremist Christian beliefs, you could end up raising a child that could become the next Marshall Applewhite, David Koresh, or Jim Jones. Just stop and think about what you are doing. And if you have any semblance of rationality left, stop rooting for the end of the world.

I think consent is the one aspect of marriage that will not change. Animals cannot consent, homosexual or polyamorous persons can. So no, I don't think you will see marriage to animals in your lifetime or even your son's lifetime.

Fetuses don't consent to be murdered....nothing surprises me anymore...

Fetuses don't consent to be aborted by an 'Act of God' (miscarriage) either, but they are, and in much greater numbers around the world than those that humans choose purposely to abort.

Since you claim to be an evidenced-based thinker, please provide citations for this claim. On second thought, don't bother--miscarriage data are not collected so these data do not exist. Second, since are a evidence-based thinker you should be aware that states like Maryland for example DON NOT COLLECT ABORTION DATA. Look it up! This is criminal that a state can't even calculate it's teenage pregnancy rate because the numbers are collected.

why is it criminal? What business is it of the state who gets pregnant and at what age?

The church has been saying "Maranatha" since the beginning. It means "Come soon Lord". When the Day of the Lord comes, it won't mean the end of mankind, but it will be the end of this world and the beginning of a better world without death and sin. Its only something to be afraid of if you are not reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ, such as you are. On that Day the books will be brought forth and justice will be done. Its not child abuse, its hope. Child abuse is teaching children that there is no God.

After you calm down, check the World Health Organization or National Institute of Health websites, you may be able to find some data there. Since many spontaneous abortions early in the pregnancy are unrecognized by the woman having the miscarriage, the rates of miscarriage are generally estimated. But some direct studies have put the rate at roughly 30%. Keep in mind that women in the 3rd world, generally don't have access to abortion clinics so the majority of fetuses are dying are from miscarriages and the rates are higher due to putrid health conditions. On top of that, if the fetus survives and is born, the odds of dying in the first 5 years of life are high due to diseases, AIDs, starvation, etc.
