WTF? The school calendar says that it's "Staff Collaborative Planning". It's not enough that tomorrow is "Staff Devlopment" which we all know as Fair Day.

CCPS is the same way. Close school for strange stuff. Next month, the kids only go to school two Fridays out of 5 and one of those is a two hour early dismissal.

Oct 2 Youth Day (also known as Fair Day) This one I don't mind because I like going to the Fair.

Oct 9 Staff Development

Oct 16 MSTA Convention

Hell, right now I'd just like to suck in some nicotene.

YOU too??
THREE weeks as of today without a smoke. I do little wintergreen pouches now. At least I don't smell like an ashtray anymore. NOW I smell like a roll of LIFESAVERS. :-D

Odd thing is; and I'm not complaining; I haven't gained any weight. The other day somebody told me that I look like I've LOST weight; which I have, actually. KEWL huh? :-D

Yeah.....I know.....:offtopic:

socki, you get spun up over the silliest things.

Sorry, I just don't see why they have so many half days now. I'd rather my kid be in school. For that matter, I'd assume that most kids can't even go to fair tomorrow. Who can afford not to work?

So what....

The staff Collaboratively plans how they will spend their day off....

God forbid you have to watch your brood of rug rats on Friday and not have the state dole out subsidized day care (school) instead...

My kids will be in the daycare that I pay for tomorrow.:yay:

Sockie... the kids are required to be in school for a set number of days. Tomorrow's day off does not affect that final number. Your kid will still get his rightful, full-blown amount of public education even if he spends tomorrow in daycare . Hope that helps ease your pain...:huggy:

My issue isn't so much with tomorrow. It's with the collection of time off between today, tomorrow, and next Wednesday.
