I made a really good bean soup with the Christmas ham bone, insted of navy beans I went with lima's and at the last minute I decided to put dumpling in it (don't know why, never did it before). It was my best bean soup ever, I really hope the beano performs its magic.

Our neighbors gave us a few tubs of their homemade bean soup from their ham bone. I gave them some homemade turkey barley soup, still waiting to hear back from them. Best bean soup I ever tasted, I can't wait try this out. Hope she doesn't get all Jersey italian on me with the recipe.

The sausage and lentils is another I'll have to try, it's sounds really good. :yay:

I made a sausage & lentil soup from a recipe in one the cooking magazines I get (maybe Rachael Ray) a couple months ago and it used escarole. It was so good.

I'm so glad this is not popular at my house, I'm gonna eat it all weekend. All those veggies and lentils, it's gotta be good for a person, right?

Dumped it over rice and sprinkled with cajun seasoning last night. Wow, that was really yummy.

And had a homemade sourdough bagette. Everyone liked that, so it's gone.

I got this sausage lentil soup cooking on the stove right now, this house smells so good right now. I bet it'll taste even better tomorrow.

Thanks for that recipe, vrai. :buddies:

Got a sirloin roast on the grill, potatoe soup in the crockpot, hard rolls, and just picked broccoli from the garden.

And cupcakes!

Glad you like it!

I didn't make food for me tonight - I made Apollo's dinners for the next few weeks. Ground buffalo and chicken meat, with carrots, peas and sweet potato.

Seriously, this was so good we each had thirds yesterday. What a combination. I threw some chopped mushrooms into it as well (since I had them already).

Good thing I froze a second container, the first one was gone when I came home today.

 It's insanely delicious - both the Things love it - and that's always a good thing. It's so easy to make, too!

I have to say thanks for bumping it last month to you. That's the only reason I saw it and took a look.

This one is a keeper for sure. :yay:

Vrai - I made your cabbage soup today! YUM!

I got some Artisan 100% Whole Wheat Italian bread from Safeway, too. That was crazy good with the soup. Perfect for a day like today.
