Today's speed traps - a new record!

I've been commuting from White Plains to Pax NAS for 9 years now, and this is the first time I've driven through five speed traps on my way to work. Wow! (I did come to work really late today) Luckily a coworker gave me a heads-up. Felt kinda good to amble by the speed traps at 4 mph over and give a grin. Makes me wonder what their "threshold" was? 10 mph?

Anyone get nabbed today?

I've heard this from several people today, and saw one on my way in. I have short commute. The highest number I heard was 7 traps between here and Indian Head.

I was going the opposite direction (St. Mary's to Charles)...they were everywhere. I've noticed in the last few weeks a lot of cops with people pulled over in the morning. They're everywhere. Don't they have better things to do like look for Osama..jk

I counted four traps on my commute from Lex Park to Hollywood this morning. They're out in force for some reason. Perhaps it's almost quota time?

I was told at a party yesterday to expect a speed trap approx. every 2 miles on 235 and 5 today - from 7am to 7pm. I used cruise control this morning, expect I'll use it again this afternoon.

No speed traps on Trapp Rd this morning.. none on Chisleytown or Beachville Rd either.. this 6 mile commute is a bear!!

LOL, I must have missed a few. I only counted 5, so there were probably 3 I didn't even notice. Looks like I won't even need fifth gear on the drive home.

I didn't count, but there were a significant number of speed traps on Rte 4 between Lusby and Dunkirk this morning. There had to be at least 12-15 patrol cars involved.

Yep my husband got a ticket for not wearing his seat belt. I tried to tell him to wear it but he didn't listen. Now I can say I told you so.

On my way through La Plata one day last month they were stopping every car and checking for seat belts...made for a long commute.

I saw the posts about the traps before heading ou today. I have a BIL that is a PG officer. He says his threshold is 7 mph.

This afternoon, 12:30 ish, between Hollywood and Rt. 4.
Rescue Squad
St. Johns Pharmacy
VFW, between Wildewood and WaWa.

I saw at least three speed radars on Rt 4 coming back home from Upper Marlboro to Solomons about noon or thereabouts. It looked like they were getting quite a few "paying customers".

I left for BWI at 9am and there was multiple speed traps. hard to count though. There were SO many po-po cars with folks pulled over, hard to tell where the traps were vs. poor schmucks caught in them.

On trip back about noon though, no traps, just many po-po cars zipping about.

And I made it through unscathed.

You saw that too, I was going the opposite direction and the traps went until Dunkirk so you are definitely right.

There were state, county, and unmarked cars out there working together. I saw a trap that had an unmarked car waiting with a county car behind it and then a little ways down the road someone was pulled over by a county car.

There is definitely something up. Check the trees too because they hide in bushes with radios.

I hope they are also making sure everyone brought their lunch, did all their homework, washed behind their ears, and put on clean shorts this morning.


Also I hope their handing out bubble wrap, so everyone can wrap up tight and nobody gets any ouchies during the day.
