Tom Hodges....

:lmao: Clever advertising, dyslexia, whatever. Must have been cause for a good chuckle.

I've bought 4 vehicles from them, and I've been happy with the deal and the vehicle every time. I highly recommend that place for anybody needing a good used car or truck.

I am going to have to disagree with Tom Hodges being a good car dealer. I bought my car from them when I had absolutely no money (that's the only thing they are good for in my opinion). The car I bought was absolutely awful. At first it seemed like everything was fine and dandy - I test drove it, it looked clean, interior & exterior, but after about 3-6 months, it seemed to fall apart in every way...oh well...lesson learned...

Thats because its a used car. How would Tom know a car will break months after you bought it? You take that risk anywhere you get a used car.

:yeahthat:

people expect too much out of a used car. You are taking a risk by getting it after someone already did god knows what with it. The funny thing is, its not like you are necessarily going to get a NEW car that is fine months down the road, there are always lemons. You are taking an even greater chance buying used and you can't blame the dealer if it breaks MONTHS down the road lol.

That's why I waste the money to get a brand new car to drive to death commuting in. Yes, I could save a nice chunk of change buying a used car, but the amount of driving I do, the 3/36 war. is done within 4-6 weeks. Atleast with a new car, I get 14-18 months of coverage.

Because any mechanic worth a crap can look at a car, look at the maintanence record, etc. and know whether or not it's a complete pile of crap: It's not rocket science. I've always bought used cars because I can't afford new ones. I haven't had too many problems.

And for the record, I don't suggest buying cars there.

I'm glad someone is on my side...I'm not the only one who has had issues with their car that was bought from Tom Hodges...a few friends have as well and had mechanical problems shortly thereafter of purchasing it...

I understand the risk of buying a used car, but if a car looks like it's going to mechanically not be worth buying at a used car lot - wholesale it to a junk yard, auction house or something...that's all I'm saying...
