Let me get this straight, you want to give your wife a "free" wedding gift? You tight bastard... Buy her the effing cat...:roflmao:

The cat itself isn't the gift.

Conceding to allow a cat in my newly carpeted house... is.

Don't get me wrong. I like cats.

But the thing I hate about spending money on a cat is that every time I've ever owned one, I've kept it inside.

And every time, at some point in that cat's life, he can't stand his curiosity anymore and runs outside.

And it's usually a safe bet I'll never get that cat inside again, and more than likely never see it again.

In that case...just say no.

She really wants one... and I would get a ton of brownie points early if I surprised her with one for a wedding gift.

Well if it's gonna run away, go for it. No cat pizz on the carpet to worry about and you get brownie points. :yay:

 good point...
Still can't bring myself to spend hundreds of bucks on something that will probably just run away...

At least dogs usually don't go far.

I don't even know what it refers to...
Have no idea why JH thought to refer to me as "squeaky"...
