Dammit... y'all are going nuts in here and I'm not here to defend myself.

On a serious note, JH that's enough of the LBFM comments. I got a sense of humor and the first time I let it slide, but that's flat out disrespectful.

As for the wedding gift, I've already said that the gift was me letting her bring a cat into my newly carpeted home... not the cat itself.

And I'll let y'all think what you want about my spending habits. Just know that some of us are just starting out and can't afford everything all at once. Not only have I recently spent all of my savings on a house, I'm also the one that is paying for a nice engagement ring, a decent reliable automobile, most of a wedding, most of a reception, and a honeymoon, all in a year and a half stretch. And I have a boss who seems to think my promotions shouldn't come as scheduled because it took him longer to move the ladder than it "would" take me...

So if y'all think I'm cheap then you can :biteme:

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Tatercake, you're my new best friend :huggy:

And Pete, MM, JH... if you're jealous she has a few girlfriends I can set you up with.

Being tight and being thrifty are 2 different things.

I'm young and just starting out as well, remember. :bubble:

Leave me out of it homeboy. I said "ouch" at that comment. I do think you are cheap but I will hold off biting you cause I just had a bar of soap and I am not hungry. No thanks, I have been to the Phillipines already, got the T-shirt.

True, but my guess is you weren't trying to find a job for a year and half when you graduated because some idiots at Enron and Arthur Andersen got greedy. Then I spent the next year and half paying off the debt from that year and a half.

I don't want to argue who had the harder life, because I don't know that I could have raised a child and such... and I know you've been through your kicks as well, but...

We both may be the same age and starting out, however you got started quite some time before I did, and you've been making decent money for longer than I have.

Woah - too much detail for me. Are you trying to start a p*ssing contest??...because I wasn't. I'm proud of what I've done with my life thus far, and don't care to hear about the drama you've encountered to get to where you are.

pardom me ... excuse me ... sorry for stepping on your foot, sir.

*sitting down* :snacks: alright ... please continue.

psssst Sleuth, if the "allowing her to bring a cat into your house" gift idea doesn't pan out might want to think about "allowing her to hand wash your skivies" or "allowing her to sit on furniture" or even "allowing her to use your phone" instead.

nomoney

....
so your wedding gift to her is "letting" her bring a cat into your newly carpeted home? won't it be her home as well:confused:

Sheesh... beg your pardon for not posting tons of smilies with the comment. I was using the word "allow" in a loose, funny, jocular sort of way. Playing my macho, "I am King of My Castle" card
