That's your opinion and my opinion disagrees with your opinion. :razz:

If it's something that happens all the time (like violent crime in Waldorf), then you shouldn't make a big deal with someone having a gun in their backpacks locked in their lockers.

Then when are you supposed to make it a big deal? After someone gets shot?

It's a big deal, but it happens too much to make a big deal out of it everytime.

Sometimes, it's better to keep things quiet.

No no no no no no and no. Each and everytime a kid brings a gun to school the parents should be made aware and something needs to be done.

What will ignoring it accomplish?

Then you, the parents, would pressure the board to do something about security, which the school systems don't want to do.

I'd get sick of getting letters every week over the fact that someone had a gun on them.
