Truck Needs New Brake Lines

HEeey.....I resemble that remark! :burning:

You're right though......I possess the knowledge and the tools to do the job; I just lack the confidence in my own abilities.

You see, brake repair is; to me; one of those things one can't say, "Weeellll.....that LOOKS right;" just to find out; hopefully not catastrophically; that it's not.

Do like Red Green and keep an anchor in the truck.

If you have the time, why not dive in? I mean, I presume it's not the daily driver so if you screw it all up and it has to sit for the following weekend or evenings, so what? You'll be developing some skill, getting to know more about the truck you intend to keep and you've got resources.
It's just a lack of confidence in my own "skills" combined with the fact that I wouldn't be able to get anyone to fix any mistake(s) I might/would likely make; without forking over some $$.
Which brings me to the guys @ Mr. Tire.....oh H*ll.....never mind.

I'd like to say 'I'll figure it out, and not post anymore about it; but we all know that won't happen.

Solved the 'how/where to get truck fixed' issue. Now, I have to wait to see what the bill's gonna look like.

I said I can... And flaring tools, one is sae the other is metric.

I hope you get it fixed. If not this thread could go " Epic "
 I didn't think this tred would go this far.
I hope I get it fixed too. Ray Coombs is the fella I took the truck to. I want to say he's his own business and not just a shade tree mechanic. That said, my primary concern right now is, what's this gonna cost me? The second, when will I get my truck back?

I can put these in the mail,

[In my best Crocodile Dundee voice]: "That's not a flaring tool. THIS is a flaring tool!"

Oh yes. I've known Ray since I think about 1996. I used him for stuff all the time back before my skillset came up through experience. I can say it should cost you far less than it might with any other mechanic, and the work WILL be top notch. There is no job I wouldn't trust to him. Or his son, for that matter. Schedule, well, that's an open question. He doesn't slack, that's for sure, but he is one man.
