Do snacks like chips and beef jerky count as food I wonder? How nitty gritty is this law, if it does exist? This is why I would never own a bar. Too much trouble.
I would think that if a patron doesn't pay for the food, it's probably labeled as only selling alcoholic beverages. No, wait - I almost forgot to include Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Coke, Diet Coke, Moutain Dew, Sprite, bottled water, etc. :ohwell:

A friend of mine (St. Mary's county bar owner) stated it was Maryland LAW that any person(s) under the age of 18 had to vacate a premises who solely served alcohol/spirits after 9 p.m.

Ken, if you read this, would appreciate some help. TIA!
NO, There is no law. I just called the alcohol enforcement division of the MSP.

Well, then - why don't you let underage kids in your bar? They're allowed in there according to the MSP.

And for the record, I'm not trying to argue, just trying to get some valid information. :yay:

He already answered that.

There is something in the laws about obeying all other laws, so if a parent were to bring in a kid and you served the parent knowing he had the kid you could be held liable for anything happening to the kid. You could also probably be charged for contributing to the delinquently of a minor. It’s just not smart to have ANY under age people in the bar at any time.

Thanks, saw it.
That, and it's just asking for trouble. In a packed bar, it's too hard to watch everyone. In Dew Drop, there is a list of about 5 kids that aren't 21 that are allowed in. They're only allowed because it is well know in the establishment that they are underage and can't drink. Hollywood's not a big place, everyone knows everyone.

Just because something in not against the law does not mean it is something you would want to do. I could stick a red hot needle in my eye but I won’t. and I did already answer you "It’s just not smart to have ANY under age people in the bar at any time."

But I'm also wondering, because it's a choice of yours that you do not allow them entry, could they in fact call the MSP and demand entrance?

Any bar establishment has the right to refuse service to anyone. It is the bartender who is ultimately responsible.

The people that set the lights on Rte. 235 are probably the ones that determined the parking req'ts for the IPT, and north and south engineering buildings on base.

There is plenty of parking at those buildings, just not plenty of parking at those buildings for lazy people.

I agree with you. I just wonder why it would not be easier to make it a no right on red for those going on to Chancellor's versus the no U-turn. If we based all our highway decisions on keeping traffic flowing there would be no place to shop. Bottom line if people were not in such a hurry to get wherever we would have less accidents.

:yeahthat: And people don't know what YELD means!
