Valentine's Day is coming

How much do you generally spend on your significant other or current relationship on Valentine's Day?

I'm looking for ideas for my boyfriend and googling things around but some stuff is like, just a mug or something. I thought that would be a little cheap on my part. What do y'all spend?

Also, any ideas for a man for Valentine's day? I feel funny giving him flowers or a box of prepackaged chocholates or something. Guys have it easy, its there packaged, go in, get it leave. What are some valentine's day "for him" gifts?

we don't do presents, we do an "experience" a nice way of saying a date we spend a little extra on. Split the costs..nice dinner, fun activity. Presents are overrated and silly

Wow, I guess I was aiming too high. I was thinknig a cheap notebook or laptop. Then brought it down to a piece of furniture worth a few hundred. Now I'm thinking a dinner. Or better yet, he lost a bet to me, he was supposed to treat me to CIP and drinks as a result. Maybe my gift will be he doesnt have to and just call it a done deal, that would equate to me taking him out to eat, sort of.

Thanks!

Good luck to all you newbies, or have to have a blow-out peeps!

A good time doesn't have to cost much at all, especially after 34 years of good times. We agreed a number of years ago that nothing is expected except us.

All I need is her, a dozen roses delivered to her desk (as office manager, it does get noticed), a decent restaurant, and if we're just too tired at bedtime to do anything but sleep, so be it.

Sleep tight!

Thanks! Good luck to you too! I dont think I'm a "have to have blowout" peep, I've been known to "blow up" things, not "blow out".

As for the bedtime thing - I will have a surgery this Monday, I'll be sore Tuesdaym if I dont stay the night. That too was why I was looking for a gift. I forgot that part.  Enjoy your VDay too!!
