A fondue pot would work, just read the box when you buy it. Of course you can do desserts...melt chocolate (milk or maybe even white, mmm) and dip cookies, cubed cake, lady fingers, fruit, graham crackers...anything.

Damn it, now I wanna get out the fondue :lmao:

Heading to the Melting Pot on Friday!!!! :yum:

For dessert you should make some chocolate covered strawberrys... cant go wrong with those. I am making some for the b/f this weekend.

Don't forget the Bailey's and coffee with whipped cream to go with the choc. covered strawberries

Does anyone here actually own a fondue pot
What's your thoughts

I would get just a regular fondue pot, I have the fountain and it looks pretty for a little while and then it's just a mess that ends up in the bottom. I am using my fondue pot for the chocolate and my baby crockpot for the cheese fondue.

Hubby won't be home tomorrow so we went out to eat over the weekend for Valentine's Day. We ate at this little place called Fireside Inn. The kids and I made and decorated cupcakes for the neighbors and I also made heart-shaped brownies drizzled with caramel and topped with walnuts. I don't know what I'm making for dinner yet tomorrow.

My fiance and I do not celebrate Valentines day on Valentines day because our anniversary is 4 days later. So we just put the two together it is easier on us that way. I think we are going to Outback on sunday for dinner.

We knew he'd be working out of town this week, hence the early V Day dinner. Typically we'd just make dinner here, with the kids. Watch a movie, etc... Nothing special.

I highly recommend their meats. You can definitely tell a difference between there and the grocery store. They have filet on sale this week for $5.99/lb. You do have to buy 1/2 loin, but even if you freeze the rest and save it for later, it is still better than Giant or any other grocery. Definitely worth the splurge! BTW, this would go awesome w/ your garlic mashed potatoes and maybe some grilled or steamed asparagus.

I absolutely LOVE Nick's!! The Filet Mignon kicks!! Will have to stop by and pick some up.

Grilled PBJ's
Spaghetti O's with cut-up hotdogs
Toasted Marshmellows

:lmao: Daughter and her boyfriend are going out tonight to miss the crowds and Hubby and I were never big on going out for V-Day. So, Daughter requested Hot Dogs, my homemade macaroni & cheese, and broccoli for dinner V-Day. Hubby and I are fine with it too! We'll save the Filets for 2/24 when we have my Mom and Dad over for their B-Days. She'll be 69 (2/17) and Dad will be 70(2/23). We're also gonna get a bushel of oysters.
