Was Christ Who He Said He Was?

Yes,
Christ was demonstrating that he had the power to forgive sins, and telling them who we was. The sick believed he had the power to heal them that they sought him out.

This doesn't make sense to me either. I am not trying to be a grammar nazi, but can you put a little effort into your posts?

I didn't understand the original statement for the reason tommyjones came back with. I don't understand your statement.

By your statement, christ was showing off to these people? Who was seeking who?

Try again please.

what he is saying is that you present other peoples ideas, but give little of your own opinions. You seem to base all of your position on preachers sermons, not indenpendant thought.

I do not understand this: “When Jesus saw their faith,he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son,your sins be forgiven you” somebody explain.

PS, Marie, did you lose your space bar?

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Yes I lost the space bar,
And this was the answer to your question
Christ was demonstrating that he had the power to forgive sins, and telling them who we was. The sick believed he had the power to heal them that they sought him out.

Then

the same passage could be interpreted as palsy being a penalty for sin, and christ was releving them of the afflicitons from both.

Then

This doesn't make sense to me either. I am not trying to be a grammar nazi, but can you put a little effort into your posts?

Thats the way I read it!

says a book written by man ....

The book was written by man's hand but inspiration was given by God.

Can you tell me of one book written about our creation from whatever point you want to believe that was not written by man?

My belief is based on that which Jesus is not in the grave he was given. If you can give me Jesus bones and tell me without a doubt that those are his bones then my religion is a shamble yes. But no one can produce Jesus bones because he was risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of God. That is my belief. Yes it may come from a book but who does not learn or get there beliefs from a book or someone else? That is how kids learn by watching and picking things up from the others in their lifes.

It's cool. I did.

Thank you. Can you further explain why you dont want to believe because it is from a book? I mean I could be wrong you may believe but I am assuming you dont and am curious as to why with your reasoning.

Well by that logic, you have no proof that he's up there.

Being from a book is not the reason we don't believe.

I don't believe because there is no evidence what so ever. Anywhere. It being in a book makes it just as true as any other thing written in any other fiction book (in that it can't be proven).

There is a reason the bible is in the religion section with every other religious text and not in the non-fiction section.

I am not sure of your reasoning I was saying because he/she made a point that it was a book written by man. So I was assuming as I said. So tell me why not then. I am always curious as to people's beliefs and why or why not they believe something.

Can you really not speak for yourself? You make no sense and simply quoting every person that has participated in this thread, out of sequence, does not help.

Free will, god gave it to us. Use it.

I'm a he, mAlice is a she. I wasn't saying 'because it was written by man it isn't true' I was saying that 'because it was written by man it isn't proof'.

Ok thank you. I have a question for you then. Would you mind me sending you more information? Would you allow me at least some time to try to make my point for religion? When I say send I mean in a private message. I am not pushy and believe that being pushy is one of the reasons people are turned away as well as for all the hypocrites.

I bet I could write a book about David Copperfield doin a few disappearing magic tricks and you couldn't produce bones from inside where he puts them.

Just sayin.
