Its about proper implementation and a true use case analysis. Amazons been fielding a fleet of EV vans from Rivian for a while now. Pepsi loves their Tesla Semis. And with the factory starting production this year, so will many more.
The big issue with busses is just like the big problem with solar a few years back. The Feds just tossed out blank checks. And shady characters took advantage of that to suck that money up. Nobody reputable makes an EV school bus for a reason. The market isnt big, and it takes a crap ton of batteries. Our domestic makers dont have battery capacity to supply the few low volume EVs they do sell. And they are packing them into hgih margin SUVs.
Just let the freakin market work and dont force it.
