WaWa gas prices

RBOB gas made another significant move upward today, it was at about $1.40 the last time I noticed (in the middle of the trading day). That's up about 25 cents over the last month. And WTI closed around $38, with Brent moving above $40 today. I wouldn't expect a lot more upside in the short term (for oil prices that is, pump prices still have little ways to go), but who knows what will happen?

Almost got screwed over by the Sunoco in La Plata the other day. When everyone else charges about $2.30 for premium, they wanted $3.49 :faint: Their price for regular was in-line with everyone else so I didn't notice when I pulled in, only noticed when I was about to press the selector for premium.

Just ran across this interesting article about congestion in the pipeline moving diesel and gasoline along the East Coast and how it affects costs. It mentions that big customers, like Costco, resort to buying portions of other wholesalers' allotted space in the pipeline to get the amount of product they need. It appears that the issue has become big enough to cause the FERC to hold hearings.

Yes I'm an MPD, But who's
So I noticed last night gas prices in the northern part of the county were averaging $2.07. California and LP city still about $2.17 and the Shell station outside gate 1 this morning was $2.64

I do hope those of you putting out for the premium stuff really need, hate to think how many millions of dollars worth are dumped into gas tanks that don't really need that stuff.

yep that would be a waste in my 1995 Saturn ...
but my 72 VW Beetle ran better ...
- I could hear a difference in the tone of the engine cruising @ 65 on 93 vs 85 [1985/86 time frame]

I do at the moment. MPG was dropping on 2004 Nissan Pathfinder, and no power climbing small hills. Check engine light code was for bad cat converters. So far after four tanks of good premium gas and regular bottles of exhaust system cleaner, I beginning to see the MPG creep back up again. Plus I have more power climbing hills.

Yep, my Zonda only accepts 93 octane.

My ride picks up ~5 mpg on Sheets 85. It's an E-85 vehicle, so that surely must make the difference. Regular 87 is currently $1.82/gallon in KG, VA.
:yahoo:

Before the tree-hugger jokes start flying, the leather seats and Infinity Sound offset the :dork: factor of a green-ish vehicle.

What Sheetz has E-85?
I found in my truck I got lower mpg, but it seemed to run smoother, shift smoother on E-85.

No, sorry. I was too ambiguous. Their 87 octane is 10% Ethanol. Their additives (if any) seem to make my mileage go up. I only have to fill up once a week.:yay:

Since I've been checking, the MPT gauge went up 20%. No more WaWa or Dash-In gas for me.

The closest E-85 gas station is in Annapolis. I would love to have a local E-85 station around hear. My Alpha 12 would run so much better on flex fuel.
