But wasn't the newest tax based on a percentage of the cost and not a fixed amount? Higher the cost, the more money in the state coffers?

With the lower cost of gas, distributors can get their products to market cheaper... which means the products should be cheaper.... oh, wait errrrr....

Back to the OP, why is it still $2.09 this morning at WaWa Rt235 & Rt4?
Collusion among the local stations? Anecdotally, it seems all it takes is for one to drop their price and the rest quickly follow suit.

A few years ago a friend worked at the WaWa where the Half Way House used to be. They set their price $.05 cheaper than the name brands in Charlotte Hall and Mechanicsville. Pretty bad when BurchMart and the Shell station at gate 1 are cheaper than WaWa. :shrug:
On another note, are the WaWa's down here a franchise or company owned? If franchise, who owns them?

Gas prices are blowing my mind. It is so exciting that it only costs about $25.00 to fill up my tank when it is bone dry.

As the prices were decreasing over the last week it was in small increments. Why the .14 cent increase overnight, don't get it...

Pissed me off cuz I was going to gas up yesterday but decided to wait until this morning. Had a feeling it would go up since all the other WaWas were creeping up, but not that much.

I was in Annapolis on Tuesday and the prices were $1.73 - $1.75. Even the quick stop in Harwood was only $1.79.
Who owns the WaWa's down here? or are they all corporate?
