My wedding band wasn't very expensive, and I didn't ever wear it, so it has no sentimental or monetary value to me. I have it in a ring box and it will probably stay there.
However, I do have 2 of HER rings that are worth a pretty penny. I've tried to sell them, privately, at consignment shops, to jewelers, no one wants them, so they too sit in a box. I have 3 nieces and feel it would be in bad taste to give only one of them the "big" ring, and I would never think of giving it to whomever I might happen to settle in with at a later time. So, I'm kinda stuck with them.
have him wait for the next gf, its not like he actually gave it to the ex :shrug:I'll send you my address or we can do lunch.
My son has a gorgeous ring he had custom made for his girlfriend...it didn't work out, he never gave her the ring. I think the somd ad just ran out...he's advertised everywhere and a substantial cut in what he paid for it. Even the jeweler that made it said it's hard to resell them..and he didn't offer to take it back.

I don't believe in the bad juju thing. When Ott and I got married, we didn't have a lot of money, each of us had a child and we had just purchase a house. I had my engagement ring from my prior marriage..we had it reset and bought a new band. We've been together almost 30 years..marriage almost 27.
everyone knew he was single before he started dating kvj...remember he wsa the forum whore? my how people forget so quickly! This is a really smooth way to announce to the forum women that you are back on the market and vulnerable
bring me a pair of the 3D glasses for chuck if you see them! I heard they were free at a couple grocery stores!well im going to the grocery store tonight- im sure i have a quarter on me to get him a ring.
I bet that pic was stolen from 4D's myspace too.I sure hope you got your ring's permission before posting its pic!
This should tell you how big of a scam jewelery is

So, what do you do with your ring after the vows no longer mean anything?
I spent over 900 on my ring alone (retails for 1345). What do I do with it now? Can't wear it because that would be a bit disrespectful. Dont know anything about Pawn shops so I'm not sure if Id get anything close to what I paid. Thought about having it melted down and turning it into something else but what, and is that still a disrespect thing if I was to wear it as something else?
Do people actually buy wedding rings off of Ebay and would I make any money from it? (picture below is my ring).
Im so lost as to what to do with this thing its just following me around the country kinda like my piano. Gawd I wish I could find someone to just give that dammed thing to Stupid piano.
N E ways before my ---oh look a quarter sets in---- what should I do with this ring? (other than give it away).
Oh I know the markup..
Actually, son got the ring for a very good price considering...
lets melt both our rings together and make something for us
It would even be bad imho to use in another marriage.

That's what I was thinking.
How about just selling them together, like, as a set? That would probably bring more money than just selling them seperately, too
I should have known my marriage was doomed when my ex gave me his mother's ring and then I found out his first wife also had his mother's ring
Pretty fricken cold if you ask me.
Do you have a son? Save it for him until he's old enough (maybe high school).
Exactly what I was thinking. A daughter might even like it as well.
