We're voting on "legalizing" marijuana in FL

Of course the braindeads are all "Yes! We want drugs! Yay!" but I actually read the bill and did a little digging. The Polk County Sheriff summed it up nicely:

So I'm a "NO". :yay:

The quick movement towards legalization of marijuana seems to ignore protection for employers, and fails to set limits for operating motor vehicles.

What blood levels of THC are safe for driving in general? What penalty should be in place to enforce that?

Should employers should have the right to maintain a drug free work place policy. If so, how? What protections should be part of any legislation, if any?

THC stores up in the body, so how would that stand scrutiny for intoxication?

Drug free work place policy should be similar to any alcohol free policy already in place..

We here in Abell know what this Sherriff says is true.
A few people got together with a greedy resident to make a few bucks growing marijuana.
The big guys found out and jumped right in on it. Now instead of a few residents making a buck growing marijuana in a small facility, they got bought off, and now we have a 50 thousand square foot STINKING, Noisy, property devaluating shthole here making big bucks for the big guys.

They even get off without paying big taxes by calling it an Agriculture business.
And the democrat politicians in Annapolis love it. They don't have to live next to it.
The guy that started it? He is living in Florida now. He doesn't have to smell it either.

Follow the money. Your Maryland State Government doesn't give a flying Phuck about you when it comes to money.
We here in Abell did get a nice paved Asphalt road right up to the Marijuana plant from it. Funny it stopped right at the driveway to the plant.

Vrai, would you please start working toward having Florida annex Maryland.

To be honest: I don't know what does the actual stinking.
But I damned sure know it stinks. I am told there are 20 of these facilities around Maryland,\Does the same outfit own them all?

Make no mistake, this is a big money making scheme, the people making the money do not care about the health of Marylanders or Americans, their only object is the money. They feed us a line of sht. about medical marijuana, but IMO that is just the crack by which to open the door to full scale legal marijuana. And like the Sherriff said, it will be Marijuana that only they grow.

What level of THC is acceptable for driving?

What level for a drug free workplace?

I can have some adult beverages with dinner and not have any alcohol come morning when I show up at work. Not sure if the equivalent is true for marijuana?

The other problem from what I hear is government prices legal marijuana so high, (no pun intended), black market production remains profitable.

If it was known then it could be tested for. Right now that is an unknown.

You can also have a few at lunch or a bottle at your desk. Pretty sure that still goes on.

Don't know how the prices are set, but MD likes that 9% tax.

I am, and that's the issue. As noted above, THC is stored in the bodies fat cells and released over time. That's how piss tests work. Takes a while to flush it out. AFAIK, thre is NO quick valid test to judge how high you are. Theres a BS "testing" regime sold to departments that certify officers as experts in how to judge that, but its all handwavey BS.

Could be worse, like maybe a pig farm.

Has anyone ever looked into how the SMECO upgrades will be paid for? Does the facility's use of power yield enough of a profit or are we absorbing those "upgrade costs" with a part of our recent fee increases? 🤔

Just something I'd like to know. I did start:

May 2021$0.057873
May 2024$0.086247

It looks like a 67 percent increase according to their website.

Here is something to think about, how many trillions of dollars have been spent catching, holding, processing, defending, judging, incarcerating, rehabilitating, paroling and retraining low level Mary Jane smokers. Not to mention supporting their families while the subject is sitting in jail paid with public funds. All over controlling a frigging weed that grows naturally almost everywhere.

I did Blondie, that doesn't alter the fact that trillions of dollars have been spent on enforcing laws that make criminals out of mostly just regular folks. Money that could have been spent on hundreds of other things that are needed. The 1st Maryland MJ laws you could not grow your own also, however that has been changed also, you can now grow 2 in your home if you are 21 or older as of 7/1/2023.

This is addressed in the video.

To an extent it is, but what he leaves out is that almost all legislation is proposed by either deep pocketed sponsors or by a tragedy. Floridians most likely will change the law just like they have in many other states, I would view this as a work in progress. This sheriff just wants the laws to stay the same. In other word he likes confiscating boats, cars n trucks, cash and other properties.

So you didn't watch that video at all.

Don't lie and say you did because ALL of that is addressed in the video.
