What are the kids asking Santa for this year?

she is 15, somehow Im thinking that Barbie isnt supposed to be on the name of this item.

LOL I wouldnt think so either...I googled it and the Barbie one is the digital nail printer-everything else was commerical grade. Good luck...I would bypass that gift LOL. Luckily for me-My biggest issue this year is finding Mr. Bear the Pillow Pet ;o) for my seven year old.

where and when are you shopping?

I want to make sure to get there before you so there is still something on the shelf.

Ill give her a choice.
She can get this now and forget about the Camaro when she gets her license, or she can go without this now and MAYBE get the Camaro when she gets her license.

her choice.

I havent decided if I am doing black friday this year or not. I have gone every year for the past 18. The sales or good it just depends if I get my Christmas bonus in time.

My 2 year old asked me for an American Girl doll today...those suckers are almost $100, not including any of the accessories.

Sad thing is...she has one already...not the $100 one, but the baby doll which is only half that cost. Got it for her birthday. I have no doubt that she'll be getting clothes for it along with the matching clothes for herself...NOT from me...Grandma lives near the main store in Georgia and of her granddaughters, only my girls enjoy dolls and Grandma loves to shop.

I just got one for Mackenzie, I was so excited  It came with 10 or so outfits, a bed, and dresser, some shoes, and a few hats.

Must have been one of the historical sets.

We bought my older daughter a less expensive doll of the same size & style, but she knew the difference and wasn't too interested.

It was actually given to me by one of my girlfriends from the gym. It was hers when she was a little girl, and she wanted to give it to someone she knew. Mackenzie and I have been playing with it every night after bath time

Have you checked Ebay? I had looked there for one before she sent me a message about hers.

Instead of starting a new thread, I was wonder if getting a Nintendo DS Lite for $129 is a good deal. I've checked on-line other stores and it seems like a good deal. I thought this would be a good gift for my boys since we'll be on a train for 11 hrs next month and going to the "B" grandparent's house who don't have anything for two kids to do/play with.

If you're up for Black Friday shopping, Walmart has them for $89.

I am in the same boat!! My daughter has the Bitty baby...never really played with it. Had the carrier and a few other accessories, matching outfits for her and the doll (all of it came from my Aunt). Now because according to her EVERYONE has a BIG AG Doll...so she wants one. She asked last year-I didnt buy it. She talked about it ALL THIS YEAR. SO we are going to New York next week and as her Christmas from me she is picking out the doll and a outfit or two. I expect to spend prob. :cussing: 250.00 in the store. At least I set aside $$ for it :ohwell: . I was going to buy one on ebay and give it to her-my Husband wouldnt let me...He thought it would be more special if she picked it out ect. So...She talks about it everyday and stares at the catalog and tells me what she wants and what type of bag she wants to get for her girl...ect. It is cute but they are so expensive. THe up side is that they dont really seem to loose their value-I didnt see a "cheap" doll on ebay.

The company hasn't been around that long...your girlfriend must STILL be a little girl.

And I didn't say I was going to get my girl one....heck, she's got more dolls than she knows what to do with, she certainly doesn't need another...especially an expensive one that is only going to get lost in the crowd.

That's the full retail price. Everyone has them for that. Don't rush out and buy it because it'll be on sale several places over the next month.

My MIL likes the idea of being able to buy the girls clothes to match the doll. Problem is, my older daughter is now too big for the clothes that match the baby doll. I can so see my MIL buying the big AG doll just so she can buy my daughter the outfits. Both of my girls have the same baby doll. The only difference between them is that my older daughter took a magic marker to hers when she was about 3, and some of it never washed off. My younger one plays with them both, plus a half dozen el-cheapo babies. She doesn't care about the name-brand status like my older daughter does.

Ok. It was on Overstock.com so I thought I was getting a deal. I'll wait and see if I find it cheaper.

They were around when I was little, and I'm 29. I don't consider myself to be a little girl.
The company was founded in 1986. I don't know how long it took for them to catch on, but I can't imagine too many of your friends actually had them.
