ok, I'm confused...maybe it's because I was raised on the Detroit border, and we had riots and knifings in my high school, and I tend to be quite a Biatch. But what thugs are you talking about at the Mall?

My daughter (30) and I (50) go there often in the evening, 6m and later. And I don't see anything but a bunch of standard bratty teens and such. You just ignore them, walk thru them and stand your ground. What's the problem. Have the Adults here really let a bunch of teens and early twentys taken over their right to shop when they want?

I see a lot of adults there. I guess I just don't understand. No there aren't many seniors..but then they'd be home anyway. Time for Wheel and Jeopardy. Just me I guess?

I was raised right here in SOMD and I agree with you totally. I have never felt intimidated or afraid of the "thugs" at the mall.

What difference does it make stores will accept the money from whoever is spending. There is no seperation when you have cash in hand. If you are looking for white person store you need to open your own store, Advertise "White People Only" see how long you stay in business.

Landover just has a crappy ole sears in it. :sad: I shop down the road from there at the shopping plaza with the Ross and Target. I also shop off Bladensburg Rd at this awesome little bargain store. I've never been scared nor felt ghetto shopping either places. I feel more intimidated and uncomfortable when I go to Union Station and shop.

I find this thread ticks me off. This is what I am getting out of it:
Should I be shopping at Union Station cause I'm white?
Should I no longer get my shoes and hats and purses off Bladensburg cause I'm white?
Should I stop eating at Deli City and Bert's Chili Bowl cause I'm white?
Should I be scared cause I'm white?
Should I be shopping only where ya'll tell me to cause I'm white?
Should I stop eating chitlins, greens and cornbread cause I'm white?
Should I stop having the friends I have cause I'm white?

I think half of ya'll are acting ignorant and that includes Qurious. How come I'm from the deep South, white, and I am the least narrow-minded out of you all supposedly open minded well educated internet people?

I don't know about you but everytime I see them with their pants around their knees or those girls with thongs showing I want to smack them to next tuesday.....Damn show some class....looks like they grabbed big Daddys clothes by mistake....little man trying to fill in big mans clothes are stupid looking.....I want my man to dress with some style and respect....and my kids better be the same thing...

Funny, the guys clothes keep getting bigger and the girls keep getting smaller.
Also, keep in mind that we (at least me) wore clothes that our parents probably thought were rediculous. This doesn't make them wrong. Baggy pants etc. are just the fashion of the day. This too shall pass. Regardless, it doesn't affect my life so why should I care?
