What kind of franchise would you start in St. Mary's County?

BadGirl

I am so very blessed
It would be great to have something new around these parts. I'd love to see a Baja Fresh, a Macaroni Grill, an Olive Garden, or something along those lines. :yum:

I also think a KinderCare type of daycare facility that had highly-screened, fully-qualified and competent personnel would go over great around here, as there is a tremendous shortage of daycare openings in this area.

Long John Silvers
I would simply adore a Long John Silvers and a Dunkin Donuts and a Godiva Chocolatiers. I would also like it if we had true lingerie shops in the county instead of needing to make a special trip out of town or ordering online.

Food Preparation Franchise

Let's Dish is a food preparation franchise that is great. You prepare 8 to 12 meals of 6 servings (small families can split and end up with 16 to 24 meals of 3 generous servings). There is no cooking involved at the store, just preparation. The meals you take home are fresh, seasoned to your taste (if you don't like mushrooms or something on the recipe - leave it out) and the directions for cooking are right on the freezer bag. Most of the meals take less than a half hour to cook after thawing them out. I've done it 3 times at the Alexandria, VA location and it's great.

I saw in the soMd section in the Wash Post yesterday that a permit has been issued to renovate a space for a Chipotle, in about the area of the Chancellor's Run intersection. Any ideas where in that area it might be going?

I have considered Bacchus, but to have a business become associated with Bacchanalia would be too risque'. ( For those who don't know, Bacchanalia is the term used to describe all-female orgies in ancient Romeand particular parties on college campus') :blushing:
There's a gourmet food shop in the Outer Banks called "Bacchus Wine and Cheese". :jet:

Cool. :yay: I'm going on vacation this summer there and will have to check it out.

I'd love to have a decent shoe store in the county. After fruitlessly searching for hours for semi-nice dress shoes for work, I finally wound up with one nice "but not exactly what I wanted" pair and one "okay but doable" pair. :ohwell:

A real shoe store sounds wonderful as well. Currently I am driving to Bowie to go shoe shopping.

No kidding. I just may do that because there's not much here. :ohwell:

What stores up there do you recommend?

There is a Bare Feet Shoes, DSW Shoe Warehouse and a Famous Footwear as well. They are all pretty much located around the town center. There are a few others in the square as well, but I can't remember the names. Not to mention most of the other shops have shoes as well as outfits.

Thanks. I'll check them out. I haven't really shopped in Bowie for a few years so I have no idea what's there now.
