That explains why I felt someone watching me in the shower yesterday afternoon.
Wasn't me and I have a solid alibi with many witnesses. I was at work at that time. Now, who do we know that doesn't work regularly that would do something like that? I'm thinking maybe it was a Giant's fan.

Where were you 2 hours ago? I got the Mobile Pentium 4 2.8G. the one with the M was $120 more so I went with the cheaper one. Already got the conformation email, and another one that said the order was passed to the factory for assembly. Will ship no later than Friday.

I got:
Inspiron 1150
15 inch screen
2.8MHZ Mobile Pentium 4
512MB DDR SDRAM
40G Hard drive
24X CD-RW/DVD
Internal wireless card
Wireless router
Free printer
Free 2 day shipping
17% off
1 year Tech/at home/mail in support.

All under $1200

Do I need to get a NIC for the desktop? Kizzy thinks I do but Dell web site said the router will plug directly into the DSL modem and I am off.
You did good Pete.

Just saw this deal for an HP  I might have to go pick it up myself. :yay:

That is actually an excellent machine. This is the one I almost bought when I was looking for a laptop before, but then the price was nearly 2K and my budget was 1K.

But wait, there's more...
Headin to Springfield VA to pick it up now. Circuit City knocked an additional $100 off the price BEFORE rebates for the trouble of being put on hold a few times and having to go so far. All said and done, I think the end price will be about $1150 ... :yay::yay: for Circuit City ... I wasn't a big fan before but I am now.

I can't wait to play with my new toy.

Laptop, new toy - sounds like a day of ecstasy... :whip:
 I'm telling ya ... this laptop is schweeeeet! The display on it alone is very impressive ... 17-inches wide, high definition ... it's fast, has all the MS Office software (not that chintzy MS Works crap) a ton of bells and whistles that I didn't even know about (like the DVD writer). I love it! :yay::yay:

I give free laptop lessons/ tutorials.. normally they are software/ hardware related, but can squeeze in laptop lessons for a laptop..

Thanks, itsbob, but I don't really need "laptop lessons/tutorials". It's just a conflict with the laptop network card and my existing wireless network. I have a friend who is lending much-appreciated assistance in helping figure it out.

If it takes that much from your new toy, I don't think there is a man out there for you.
:lmao: I didn't have it on the 'vibe' feature, but I do recall one of the code key things ending in "b0b" :roflmao:
