Where were you 2 hours ago? I got the Mobile Pentium 4 2.8G. the one with the M was $120 more so I went with the cheaper one. Already got the conformation email, and another one that said the order was passed to the factory for assembly. Will ship no later than Friday.

That is actually an excellent machine. This is the one I almost bought when I was looking for a laptop before, but then the price was nearly 2K and my budget was 1K.

Headin to Springfield VA to pick it up now. Circuit City knocked an additional $100 off the price BEFORE rebates for the trouble of being put on hold a few times and having to go so far. All said and done, I think the end price will be about $1150 ... for Circuit City ... I wasn't a big fan before but I am now.

I can't wait to play with my new toy.

I'm telling ya ... this laptop is schweeeeet! The display on it alone is very impressive ... 17-inches wide, high definition ... it's fast, has all the MS Office software (not that chintzy MS Works crap) a ton of bells and whistles that I didn't even know about (like the DVD writer). I love it!

I give free laptop lessons/ tutorials.. normally they are software/ hardware related, but can squeeze in laptop lessons for a laptop..

Thanks, itsbob, but I don't really need "laptop lessons/tutorials". It's just a conflict with the laptop network card and my existing wireless network. I have a friend who is lending much-appreciated assistance in helping figure it out.

I didn't notice any heat coming from it and it was up and running for 5 straight hours.

I didn't have it on the 'vibe' feature, but I do recall one of the code key things ending in "b0b"
