Huh. Standard tuning. I feel like that should be surprising. And a rather Western, basic E, A, D rock progression. I'm sitting here solo-ing over it with uber distortion, just a bunch of blues/metal licks.

Under normal circumstances standard tuning would grate at me. But given they are so young...

I was watching the Johnny Cash Music Festival on WHUT television when Rosanne Cash introduced her version of the Tennessee Flat Top Box. She had come across some version of it, and decided to record it, without knowing that her father had written it in 1961. It went to number one for her in 1988. It always delighted Johnny that his daughter had had success with one of his songs without knowing it was his song.
